    Good morning.

I'll try & pick up the various unanswered questions today.

Please note we have a UKOPS Teleconf @ 11am, during which the various suggestions will be dealt with (leaderboard, leaderboard prizes etc), & various other bits & bobs will be addressed.

We will keep you informed of any & all UKOPs news on this thread.

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Please be aware I've been Offline for a few days, & my PM inbox is overflowing now, so there may be a short (24 hour) delay in replying to some of them.

How about a mini UKOPS for smaller bankroll players Will they be shown on stream
    Posted by Pavillion
I think that is unlikely this time round, but it will definitely be considered for future UKOPS, once the concept has established itself (or not....).

Sky Poker have always set great store by trying to support & encourage players at ALL Levels, small medium & big, & this will continue unabated.

    Live stream? Under consideration.

does the winner of the tourneys win a bracelet ?
    Posted by flushando
No, but they do win a lot of money.....

In addition, the winners of the Events 1 through 7 will ALL get Free Entry into the UKOPS Main Event.

There MAY be some other prizes for UKOPS winners, too.

Not sure if I qualify as "some one from Sky", but I would expect the Satellite Schedule to be announced some time today, & to start immediately.

Assuming you are a Forum peruser, or follow "Sky Poker" or myself on Twitter or Facebook, you will hear when the Satellites schedule is announced. Many many times.......

great for everyone.  brilliant. one suggestion might be to offer the winners of each game an invite to a UKOPS Cash Game.
    Posted by aussie09
Good suggestion, though we have an Edit-Suite bottleneck right now, so time might be a problem. As to it's appeal to the wider TV audience, audience-research suggests there is little appetite for watching televised cash games unless familiar faces are involved, so it's a bit awkward really. In an ideal world, yes, great idea.

Winners of Events 1 through 7 will all get Free Entry into the UKOPS Main Event, though, which is at least something tangible.

Very well done in the TSP Qualifier last night, Rob, spectacular comeback, too!

There is no way on this planet I could afford this. If you really want to be all inclusive you should have a mini and even micro versions. You could then have a play-off between the winners of each thread to see if the mini players could take on the big guys. n Response to UKOPS - The Thread :

The same would apply to many players, tiercel.

I'd like to think that Sky Poker IS all-inclusive, as it has always set great store by encouraging, supporting & empowering players at ALL bankroll Levels.

They will continue to try & offer fresh & innovative Promotions (TSP is a good example) aimed at all levels of affordability, but it's not possible for every Promotion to tick every box.

hi all   i agree great promotion for all players old and new to the site   with the sats i think all bankrolls have been thought off   very exciting time ahead for all   just a question   why have 2 tournies november the 5th   poss one of the biggest nights out of the year   and with the lower buy in of one off them its open to all   just a thought i know its to late to change but maybe could be tweaked around such a big night out for families   thanks for the great promotion

Comment noted Mark, & yes, that's an unfortunate clash. The problem is, whatever way you cut it, or move it, SOME parts of it always clash with something. The optimal time window for this Series is fairly short, & every potential set of dates within that time window has some disadvantage.

For example, move it forward a week, to the previous week, & it clashes with SPT Leg One, move it back a week & it clashes with Blackpool GUKPT.

The dates were given considerable thoughtage before being decided, & the week in question, overall, was deemed to be the most suitable.

Bonfire night or not, I'm sure UKOPS will go with a bang......

In Response to Re: UKOPS - The Thread : yeah i wanted to ask this....im quite keen for at least 1 of these events to be 9/10 handed :-)
    Posted by sikas
I'm afraid that will not happen, at least, not in the inaugural UKOPS.

Every way Sky Poker look at it, listen to Customer Feedback, & analyse what players prefer to play on Sky Poker sends the same message - the vast majority of the player-base here much prefer 6-Max. In some ways, Sky Poker is pretty much a specialised 6-Max Site, & it's served everybody well hitherto.

My personal taste would be for more 10 seater stuff, as my background is in the B & M version of poker, but I'm in a substantial minority with that view, that's just how it is I'm afraid. It won't spoil my enjoyment of UKOPs though.

In Response to Re: UKOPS - The Thread : With skys reputation rising, and more money becoming available, hopefully they'll be able to get some good presenters in soon. Joking of course ! Love the idea of UKOPS, not so keen on the massive time bar, going to be pretty annoying near the bubble !
    Posted by 1267
And there you have it - some folks demand MORE time, others think it will be pretty annoying!

It's amazing the trivial things that annoy poker players. If I make the Bubble of a relatively valuable Event, it won't trouble me too much, or mar my enjoyment, if it takes a while for the bubble to go.

You are not in a minority in that impatience, to be fair, you should see how players froth at the mouth & get uppity in Live Poker @ "bubble time", it's extraordinary! One of those mysteries I'll ever understand.

I hope you survive the bubble & win the lot, Mr 1267.

really need to implement H4H when its on the bubble for this series imo, 30s per player of timebanking every hand  is going to be soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo frustrating. (obv i will have bustoed long before so doesnt affect me too much). also it will delay the tourney by quite a while so that you might not catch the end of it on the TV show!

    Hi Matthew,

The Tourneys need to play out as best as we can organise them, & I would hate that they were messed around to accommodate the schedule of a TV Show.

We have assessed likely finishing times of each Event, & I'll Post them up in a bit.

Indicative finishing times for the Event are as follows. There are so many variables that it's impossible to be reasonably sure about these, but standard structure analysis combined with likely player numbers suggest the following finishing times......

    UKOPS Event 1 - 01.15am

    UKOPS Event 2 - 01.15am

    UKOPS Event 3 - 01.15am

    UKOPS Event 4 - 02.00am

    UKOPS Event 5 - 01.45am

UKOPS Event 6 - Too hard to call!

    UKOPS Event 7 - 00.15am

    UKOPS Main Event - 03.30am

    Satellite Schedule.

This is quite complex to explain in one go, so I'll do so in a series of Posts. Please bear with us whilst we get these Posted.

The UKOPS Satellite Schedule will commence TODAY.

    Details to follow imminently.

ALL Satellites will be based upon "guaranteed Seats", NOT "1 seat in x" EXCEPT "micro-sats". (See next Post).

Every satellite will be capped, & will carry GUARANTEED Seats, irrespective of number of runners.

Starting with "Special" Daily Satellites which combine High Roller & Main Event Seats.

These will be 9pm EVERY NIGHT, 7 days per week. (Replaces the TSP Classic Mon-Fri, & the £500 Gtd Sat & Sunday. Note the TSP Classic will NOT run tonight, or again until AFTER UKOPS has finished).

    UKOPS Direct.

    Buy-In - £12.

    FIRST - GUARANTEED £530 UKOPS High-Roller Seat

    2nd - 6th - GUARANTREED £220 Main Event Seats.

Capped at 150 runners in every case.

Micro-Sats to these UKOPS Directs - £2.40, the same schedule as the current TSP Classic satelite structure, except 7 days per week, not 5.

    So, these Micro-Sats will run at 3.50pm daily, 4.20pm daily, 4.50pm daily, 5.20pm daily, 5.50pm daily, 6.20pm daily, 6.50pm daily & 7.20pm daily.

The balance of the Satellite schedule matches the day of the event, i.e., on Mondays Satellites will be for Event 1 (£20k G'teed BH on Moimnday 31st), on Wednesday's Satellites will be for Event 3, (£10k Guaranteed Double Stack, et al).

Details for these will be in my next Post.
