Evening Ladies and Gents, Another good session tonight, played 12, won 8 so my total figures so are ......*drumroll* Played          133 Won             73 Profit/Loss    -67p           (so close to profit again)              Win Rate       54.9%       (so close to a profitable win-rate) I hope people don't think I'm rubbish when they look at this cos I'm happy to be breaking even lol, but this is still a tiny sample size and I had one bad session which set me back a bit. Getting it back on track now though, with only a 67p loss.... Technically I'm in profit now because I've already earned £5 C4P. I'm now up to 599 Poker Points. Paul

Yeah I believe that was when she made a decent raise with 77, I made a massive 3bet all-in which could only be a bigger PP than 77 (which it was) and she calls lol, and loses... I wasn't complaining.

I think you 3-bet but not all-in and she called all the way down the streets with about 40 overcards on the board!

Ohhhh yeah that was the one. I think I had AA and I was really starting to worry that she just kept flat calling, didn't know if she was slowplaying a monster, but no, just an underpair to the board lol. I've won 2/2 so far tonight.

Cheers mate. I'll check my PMs and reply now. I've got 5 out of 6 so far tonight now.

Gutted, it would have been 9 in a row but I lost that one...down to 4 players and I shoved 1010 and KJ beat me, oh well. Still made very good profit tonight and I aint finished yet.

Nice to run in to to you Lambert on the DYMs!

They are a steady little earner if you play super tight playing mainly group 1 hands. No real need to take many risks; sit bak and let the others beat their brains out playing as if they have a tourney to win!

I'm currently getting around 38% ROI on DYMs and then I use what I win as a stake to play in some bigger tourneys - bigger in terms of number of  people playing and possible prize money.

In terms of bankroll management I usually stake around 5% of my current roll on any 1 tourney, that way you can ride out variance - like losing 11 DYMs on the trot!

Good luck on your DYM adventure - except when you're playning me of course ^-^

No offence but 38% ROI???!!! That's ludicrous lol, there's NO way you can keep that up long term. Most proper hardcore players of them are happy with 10% ROI

    Hello All,

Big smile on my face after a short but very profitable session :) finally smashed my way back into profits. Played 8, won 7, now that's what I call a session! lol It'd would have been 100% win rate if it wasn't for the hand mentioned in my post above, which would have meant I'd won 11 in a row, sadly my consecutive streak stopped at 8.

    Played          141
    Won             80
Profit/Loss    +£25.30       (Now that is much more healthy!)
    Win Rate       56.74%

Really pleased with my results over the past few days. Not only have I been running quite good and winning alot but I really think my game has improved alot. I noticed that quite a few times I was getting to the final 4 with a decent chip lead and still not cashing because I was being too aggressive and trying to keep the little guys down but too much aggression and it can result in doubling people up alot and putting yourself in trouble. I get a bit less crazy around these times now and it's really helping. Alot of the time when it gets to 4, if you can survive 4-5 orbits, you've cashed.

    EDIT: Poker Points = 639

Ah ... just checked, your right - ROI on DYMs is 12% my overall ROI is 38%. At least that's what Sharkscope says - forgot to filter on SNG and virtually all SNGs I play are DYMs
     Edit
And now DYMs are doing my head in, twice in a row get all my chips in against a lower pair and they go and hit trips ... aaaargh .... OK, breathe ... tell yourself odds will work out ...rub your lucky penny ... spin round once and spit twice ... aaah, thats better.

Can only fit in a very small session tonight cos I'm going out with my mate, but I'll see how many games I can get in by about 8:45pm. I play 2 at a go at the moment so I think I can get 6 games in 1hr 30mins. Was discussing this with a fellow poker player recently just before anyone says but I have tried playing 3-4 games and I noticed it was negatively affecting my game.

That's strange as I'd have thought most games don't involve playing that many hands and the ones you do play are more clear cut in what you have to do especially late on with shallow stacks, were you not playing more than 2 tables at cash ?

Yeah I dunno what it is but I could handle 6 tables at cash fairly easy but I can't do it at DYMs. I think it's because you can end up having 3-4 tables down to the bubble and shallow stacked and it's absolutely vital that you permanently know, your stack, everyone else's stacks, the blinds etc and I struggle to keep on top of it all for that many tables. Like in cash I'm ALWAYS 100BB deep and when I get say AA, I'm gonna play it pretty much identical every time. Where as you get AA on the bubble in a DYM with 4 people left, there's no way I'm shoving if I'm 3rd place with 10BBs and one guy has 3-4BBs, so you can't just see AA and shove everytime. I played 3-4 tables for a bit and noticed there was the odd time where I'd missed a good spot to steal blinds and that can lose a game for you.

WOW, this is how you have to play DYM's, I'd have to take a shower if I ever willingly folded AA pre lol

Yeah will do Kocklaw. Obviously you can't have a session like that everyday but I'm being very consistent through my sessions.

I've got my BR up to about £175 at the mo, with more winnings + my C4P I plan to have a big enough BR to move up to the £11 DYMs for the start of November. I need to get up to about £240 ish minimum. I expect to get £50 as my C4P, so I reckon I'll get to about £300 BR by the end of this month which should give me some more wiggle room at the £11 level.

Sadly it was a really short session cos i gotta leave to pick my mate up from work at 8:45pm and I'll never fit another one in now. But nevertheless it has been a profitable session (just!). Only managed to fit in 5 games and I won 3 of them.

    So it's now...

    Played          146
    Won             83
    Profit/Loss    +£27.80
    Win Rate       56.85%

I'm on 664 Poker Points and I've got 546 league points which currently puts me 95th in the STT league. Still quite a bit of catching to do to get in the TSP freeroll, but I plan on putting in alot more volume than I have up to this point when I get the chance and I assume you earn more league points at £11 DYMs (is this true?) so that should make it easier to earn points when I move up. And I'm not gonna be playing anything but DYMs for the entire quarter as a real push to get into the TSP freeroll so wish me luck.
