square root of the prize money in each event added together would work

    What about a points system.
All players on the final table get points for each finishing place

    1    10
    2     8
    3     6
    4    4
    5    2
    6    1
Just an example, could not be any fairer!

    1st = 1 point
    2nd  = 2 points
max 100 pts... over 100 counts as non runner!

    etc etc

lowest ave score wins.. maybe min 3 events to find average???

+1  i wont be playing 3 events but sounds like a fair league!!

even those who play 3 would have to have 3 top 100 finishes??

    =(((((B2-A2)/A2)*1000)*(C2/100))^0.33)*10+(B2/C2)

Where B Winnings, A Buyin and C players. Gives a good spread of values, and rewards ROI, while taking into account buyin size and player field as well as winnings.

I think it gives some pretty good results

Whatever Coxys says.....clearly thought about ha

I don't think it should be averaged out though personally it should be a total points over every event. This is how the big big leagues do it i think ? and also it encourages people to play more events thus increasing skys rake gain also + a few more players towards the prize fund !

Would it be wrong to do some thing along the lines of the WSOP POY formula?

TY Tikay. Should be fun and hope I can spin it up.
Yeah I think they use some multiplier function depending on feild size and buy-in.

Maybe your formula wasn't a million miles away....

    P.S. Don's suggestion seems reasonable.

Why not do it on a number of runners in each event type of score board by quatering the field each time.

    Eg 400 runners = top 100 get 100 points, 101 to 200 get 75 points, 201 to 300 get 50 points and 301 to 400 get 25 points.

Then give extra points to the payouts.

Eg if 30 paid 1st gets 30 points and 30th gets 1 point.

Bit simple i know but easy enough to understand and score.

I know it will give anyone playing more events more chance of winning but imo anyone willing to join more events should have.

Only a idea though so dont shoot me down :)

IMO size of field has to be the most important factor
The standard of player taking part will be elite in all competitions
therefore structured points for finishing positions should be the same in all competitions
with 1 bonus point added for every 50 players taking part.
When Dylan 12 won the jackpot he triumphed over 500 in each comp his score would be 30 points for winning plus bonus 10 pts for the field
whereas winning the roller would be 30 points for the win and just 1 point for the field because less players take part and fewer decisions have to be made.
Cash prize money should be irrelevant skillfull play should be the only thing rewarded

The easiest factor possible would be dont go buy the buy in to the tournies forget that it should be as said...

6 WCOPS tournies , with these points bein with in close region it would apply a close league at the same time and make it more intresting.

    1st ... 100
    2nd .. 90
    3rd ... 80
    4th ... 70
    5th ... 60
    6th ... 50
    7th ... 40
    8th ... 30
    9th ... 20
    10th .. 10

    hope that helps
