been playin bout 6 months and felt i was moving up then hit the dreaded plateau and have now come through the other side and feel like im progressing through the diffrent games now prob slightly loosing to breakin even,lovin omaha at the mo so a bit of everything really.thanx for reply
For hold'em I can recommend the "Harrington On Hold'em" books For tournys I have just bought "The raizers Edge" bu Elky and others, just working my way through it now but it seems to be pretty good Posted by JockBMW

You have WAAAAYYYYY too much time on your hands Aaron ;o) I wrote a blog about books when I first came to the site. Maybe you could find that too "A beginners guide to beginning"

I,ve looked in WH Smiths , waterstones and another book shop in preston and couldnt find any of the well known books In fact the standard of books was supsrisingly useless and very few Wheres the cheapest place online to buy thesee books? Posted by MP33

EBAY`s probably best for books iv`e just ordered harrington`s guide to online poker and it was only 7 quid.

Elky's is good if you're playing EPTs or loads of full ringed hi-stakes tourneys IMO Jock. Otherwise I'd ignore tbh. Don't think even Sky's big ones play to that level of thinking.
As books go I'd say Phil Gordon's say a lot of good stuff. Just got his gold one but haven't read it yet. First two were good easy reads though.
Winning poker tournaments one hand at a time 1&2 were excellent for tourney strategy without being too deep IMO.
Don't know about cash, certainly not Hartigans other than very basic strategy.
