Afternoon gang,

The nights are drawing in and it's dark already as I write this at 4pm, so what better than to spend the evening in with the set-top box lodged firmly on Channel 865 for some ol' fashioned pokertainment?

Tonight sees myself joined by the sports encyclopedia himself, Trevor Harris and high-stakes cash game specialist Sim Mahon aka SimUK.

We'll be running the rule over the Mastercash tables from 9 on the site tonight- so make sure you're on those baizes if you want your play featured on the show. And we'll have the biggest hands of the week in our rundown of Top of The Pots at midnight too.

Two topics for you as ever this evening:

(1) Tell us something you've learned from watching Sky Poker TV

Ok, I'm sure we'll get some humorous answers to this, but it'd be also nice to get some serious ones too. Even if you're an experienced player, you must have picked up something new from one of the top pros we've had on. What was it and how has it improved your game?

and (2) because I'm reunited with Trevor, how could we NOT play...


Trevial Pursuit!

Yes, this ALWAYS gets a good response. So, usual scenario- post or email your trivia questions for Trev to answer- most people go for a football or sports one, but feel free to quiz him on any topic you like.

Anyone who stumps him with a question (that is reasonably answerable- nothing too ridiculously hard please!) will go into the hat and at the end of the night we'll draw a winner to get free entry into this Thursday night's Sky Sports Bounty hunter with £33 and covered live on 865!

That should be enough to get us started. And obviously we'll need your questions to Sim and Trev on poker plus hand requests and banter too.

    What have I learnt from watching Sky Poker, how to get a taxi home, and then realise the car is at Sky, how to get an arm stuck up a hole in 1 easy lesson, good bankroll management, using position to name but 4

    SOMETHING IVE LEARNED FROM WATCHING TV POKER ON 865 ??

    Its so very very easy to give analysis on hands and players when you can actually see ALL of the hole cards ;)

    Pretty much the entire game, always liked poker but never really knew how to play, so would often wait for parents to bed on schoolnights, turn Sky Poker on and watch The Open. Eventually signed up a few weeks ago, about 10 minutes after midnight on my 18th Birthday, lol.

    and (2) because I'm reunited with Trevor, how could we NOT play...

    What have I learnt from watching your show. Don't listen to TK with his get yur chips in early,  every time I do someone hands me my coat.  Much better advice was don't fall in love with your hand.  Think that was meant for male players. he he  

     So what do I know about football. ?   Nothing!  so    Who was the first woman to streak across a football pitch on live TV.  Showing all her bouncy charms.      I bet you any money you like his eyes popped out his head when he saw it and the name is burnt into his brain.!

    What I have learnt from watching 865 is playing position and not taking beats to heart.  Also bet sizing and bankroll management.  Basically, all the important stuff.  Also I never had a sense of humour before.  Honest!

    My question for Trev is.... NOT a football one!

    How many oscars did the film Titanic win in 1997?

    The answer is, it won the same number of trophies Arsenal have won in the last five years.  None.

    It did win 11 in 1998 of course.

    Ive learnt to be more patient and grind, out small cash to enlarge bank-roll,Ive also learnt pos is essential with AQ etc.

    Which club did Tony pullis begin management with? 

    Answer player/coach Bournemouth,Then when redknapp left he became manager.

    Hi Rich qustion for Trevor who was the first non European player to win the Ballon D'or otherwise known as the European footballer of the year.It was George Weah of Milan in 1985,the rules were changed that year to allow non Europeans to be eligible for the award if they played with a European club.

    It was actually a odd shaped ball pitch...Twickenham I believe :)
    (not that I was focused on the tv ofc)

    What have I learned?

    I play on another couple of sites but only play holdem on them. I have been playing (and enjoying) PLO of late and that is thanks to Sky Poker.
