Sunday night live show with Carlo, Carlo's tash and Fowler *****official show thread*****

Good evening all,

I have just witnessed Carlo's tash for the very first time, and it shocked me so much to be frank, my forum post is late!!

OK, so topics tonight...

1.  We have had a lot of great guests recently, but who out of anyone in the world of poker would you like to see in the guest analyst's chair and why!?

2. Do you choose to show your hand online?  Or do you always muck your hand.  What are the advantages/disadvantages of showing your hand?  Do you only show you hand live?  What do you think about people who do show their hands?

Also, the coca cola ad came on the tv last night.... you know the one!! the one that makes you think Christmas is coming!  What else makes you feel like it's just around the corner.  (by the way I am not one of those annoying Christmas freaks, I leave my shopping til Christmas eve, but there is somehthing about that ad!!)

    2. Rarely show hand unless with online friend just for banter

    Just the Coca Cola advert done it for me didnt realise it was sooo close :O

    Hallo guys.

    Thanks for keeping us company.

    I would like to see Daniel Negreanu or Phil Ivey simply because the are the best players in the world.

    I try not to show my hand online even if I am bluffing just to avoid giving info to my opponents. When I am playing with friends and bluffing i will def show just for fun and in order to tease them.

    One suggestion.Why don't you make Skypoker t-shirts and hoodies available to the public(us actually) to buy them in order to advertise and support the Poker Site that everyone here loves and enjoys been a part of?

    2. I almost always muck. This allows me to keep my hands private. However there are occassions mostly in tournaments where im on a tight table where ill show a couple of bluffs just to create some action. This has had mixed results for me and only teands to work if you hit the nuts shortly after imo.

    Hi Guys,

    I would suggest Gus Hansen to analyze hands on the show. Why, well i've read his book and it was an excellent insight to the different components of tournament play.

    I never show hands online as i don't know how to lol, but i don't want to give any free information. Having said that, drink levels do render me senseless, where i will show big hands(i never bluff lol). I feel that most people who show hands are trying to get their opponents to have a negative reaction, so unless they show every hand(not likely) then i don't take any notice.

    I think that the satellites for Newcastle SPT being on, as most years the tournament is early Jan, plus our bosses have issued shovels to dig ourselves out of the inevitable snow drifts up north.

    Hi sweetie pie and Anna,   I never take my shoes off while out as I can never get them back on.  Why do your feet expand to twice their size.?  anyone.!!

    As for Showing Hands;
      
     I show if I put in a big raise and they all fold,   only to say  "I was not Bluffing"  call me if you dare,  then I can sneak in a really big Bluff when I'm short stacked,  they take no notice call me and I'm out.

    1.  Well as a guy said above, I'd love to see Phil Ivey or Daniel Negreanu just because they are the best players in the game and when I've seen them in interviews, they always seem like genuinely nice guys.

    2. Do you choose to show your hand online?  It is quite rare but I do occasionally show my hand when I've had junk and got them to fold to keep them on their toes, and help me get paid off with my strong hands. It is also good to show for a bit of banter sometimes. I don't have much of a opinion on people showing occasionally but if you get a serial shower then it's great information, but you very rarely get them.

    I am one of those Christmas freaks by the way lol. I'm 25 but I'm still like a little kid at christmas, it's just always been one of the few times a yeaqr all the family get together, playing board games and whatnot...

    Well obviously, it's a big reminder the first time you hear the radio content change to stuff like All I want for Christmas (Mariah Carey) or Fairytale of New York (The Pogues)

    Hi hello team...

    Hope you are all well..

    Firstly to answer your topic questions:
     
    1) No idea, don't know enough of the stars to say (although I have enjoyed Liv Boeree's rise to fame recently)
    2) I always muck online, just because i set it that way.. by choice though, online or live it would depend on the hand.. a good hand i'd show.. sometimes a bluff hand as well just to give false info..
    3) Love the 'Holiday's are coming.. holidays are coming' ad.. Chrimbo is on it's way and party season starts this week for me... :-)

    Now on to why I'm writing....

    Managed to satellite in to the £12,500 Primo for tonight...

    And surprise surprise i'm only sat on the same table as LOL_RAISE!!!!!!!
    WOW... Now I wasn't going to get starstruck, and just played my usual game.. but it went all pear shaped.. :-(

    Won the first hand
    Split the second (quite a funny hand) #437202584
    nothing on the next few..
    THEN: I get Aces!!! - #437208684
    Play passive agressive - Flop = Q 6 T
    Looking good I think...
    All in played - and I lose $1870 to 6 9... :-(

    Then to add insult to injury.... LOL_RAISE wipes me out of my remaining 195 chips #    437210255

    13 minutes in the game..... (sits crying in to my cup of tea)

    Oh well... off to hone my 'Just sit out and don't get involved' game and hope to be on a TV MTT again soon against the 'stars'!

     2. Yep i do sometimes show strong / good  hands ,
         but i only do this so i can trick the players later in the game when blinds are deep
         & i can use my solid image to bluff & steal  with weak hands .

     3. putting up the xmas lights & accessories for the kids ,
        we have a 8 ft self inflatable santa for the garden ,
        when that goes up a lot of the neighbours say it now officially xmas .
        Their kids and my kids love it lol .
