I was gonna ask Julian how he runs so good but after seeing James is not coming in and Julian is flying solo I guess that he does run bad at times Gl with the show guys! Posted by dylan12
tbh it could be worse. he could be on the show when Orford is presenting and have 4 hours alone with him...even when Thew runs bad he runs good.
proper question for Thew tho....what would it take for him to stop playing poker....is there a figure in mind? say binking the WSOP ME...would it then be bye bye poker and trying something else or do you always think you'll have the drive/buzz to play the normal tournies @ DTD etc
My advice to a Newbie: 1. BRM 2. Enjoy the moment! It's a game not life or death 3. Play your cards not the pot 4. engage the brain before moving your mouse 5. Remember no-one's invincible 6. Think once, then twice, then think again 7. Remember! a pretty hand at the flop like a fresh cut flower can wilt as easily on a card table as it does in a graveyard 8. Christopher Robin: This is my treasure box. Its where I keep my harmonica, [plays lively tune] my yoyo and one of my favorites -- the friendship bracelet that Darby made me. She drew my picture on it. See?
I became interested in poker after the boom aka the Moneymaker affect.
Advise for new players purchase the Harrington on Hold em series books on cash or mtt's. Become part of a training video site. Or even find a free one like sky poker tv, prob the best training site of all. Don't just be told not to open limp think why it's bad for yourselves as the moment you begin thinking about the game and putting people on ranges you have already improved and wont just be a bingo player or button clicker like me:)
Have a good show ps if you're going to sue anyone James, Phil Ivey has a good lawyer if in doubt ask his wife
As there is no James tonight, does this mean that Julian is getting double pay tonight???£££???
I started playing poker at college, 5 card draw penny antis, this was in 1989 and payed for my pints at the weekend My advice to newbies is to remember you will give out as many bad beats as you take so DON'T take them personally.
My question for Julian is how much pleasure did you get winning your very own tournie on Tuesday?
Hi Sarah and Julien my advice to any poker newbie is always play within your bankroll,it is amazing how many players dont.If you practice proper bankroll management then you can start to learn the more technical aspects of the game and progress from there.
Hi guys, What film is this : A - It's Judgment Day, you know? B : No. What's that then? A : Well, it's, you know, the final day on Earth, when mankind will be judged for the crimes they've committed and that. B : Oh. And see who gets into heaven and who gets into **** and all that. A : Yeah. And what's the other place? B : Purgatory. A : Purgatory... what's that? B : Purgatory's kind of like the in-betweeny one. You weren't really sh**, but you weren't all that great either. Like Tottenham. [ pause ] B : Do you believe in all that stuff, Ken? A : About Tottenham? The answer is In Bruges, quality film, couldnt choose some of the better qoutes cause of the language, unfortunetly. Posted by KKrippler
My route into poker: When #i got my first smartphone last year I found a free poker app and I worked my way up the levels. Somehow that gave me the idea that I knew what I was doing. I started playing for real money on a site that doesn't exist anymore with disastrous results, but I did pick up a few basics. A short while later I discovered ch865 and then started playing on Sky.
Tip for newbies: Give Omaha a chance, it's much more fun than hold'em.
i wanted to ask julian if hes got a tip for someone wanting to progress to live play if theres any part of the game you need to adjust, i would say im quite an aggressive player but only normally play in small stakes tournaments where i can rebuy easily, my best wins have come when i get a quick chip lead and dominate im thinking if i played a few big price entry tournaments i would learn to have a more patient game ?

My advice to a newbie would be don't chase your lost money by moving up blind levels, it always ends badly...
