Tonight on channel 865, making his debut as a fully-fledged Sky Poker analyst...

It's Redmond 'lolufold' Lee!

Reds will have four hours of cash action to get his teeth into - as we bring you Master Cash at 9pm, followed by Top of the Pots at midnight.

And we're going back to basics, as we discuss...

CASH GAME FUNDAMENTALS

Are you a newcomer to ring games, or a tournament player who's thinking of making the transition to cash?

Well, now's your chance to ask one of the best in the game about bankroll management, table selection, positional play, post-flop strategy... No question is too simple (or, for that matter, too advanced).

And, if you'd like to pass on your own hints and tips about cash play, please feel free to post in this forum thread or e-mail skyopen@bskyb.com

having been drawn at the same table at the GUKPT in luton, i expect that reds will only turn up when tonight's show has been running for at least half an hour.

have a good show, james and redmond, i am anticipating that it will be great to watch.

Hey, I'd like to ask Reds how he would go about playing against extremely tight (winning) multi tabling regs at lower stakes such as 50nl.....

Other than stealing their blinds alot, how would he adapt his game to exploit them pre and post flop?

How Do You Avoid CAR Crashes??

    OOPs sorry James

    I was referring to playing mid pairs 9's 10's j's & Q's
In MTT's you risk one tournament shoving on the flop.
In cash you risk your bankroll
what % of your stack would you open a cash hand with?
how would that differ from your MTT play?
I'd be interested to hear what James thinks first before Redmond.

Thanks Guys have a great show!!!!

I should hope not!! You shouldn't really have more than 5% of your bankroll in play so you should never be losing your BR unless you have ALOT of car crashes back to back.

    Hey guys,

Fantastic guest tonight and perfect for me who wants to improve his cash game...

Redmond, I play at the micro stakes, anything between 4NL - 10NL and I'd say the one thing I struggle with more than anything is table selection and I think this is mostly a result of bad note-taking at the table... I really struggle knowing what to look out for, what assumptions I can make from certain plays people make because you very often don't see a showdown. A good cash player Dohhhhh once told me (this applies to 4NL-10NL I think) that if you ever see someone open limp into to pot, then mark them down as loose passive and stick with that until they prove you wrong. Is there any other tips/tricks you would recommend to help spot bad players at micro stakes?

Really looking forward to this tonight and I'm gonna get onto some of the mastercash tables if I get a chance.

    Paul

Oh... I've got another question for Redmond that I actually posted a thread on the forum about earlier in the week. This is not to improve my game just a general question about your game...

Occasionally I will search for you on Sky in an attempt to try to watch you playing... but whenever I do, you always seem to be sitting at HU cash tables with no takers (understandably lol)... is there a reason I don't see you playing ring games very often any more or is just the time I'm searching for you (8pm-11pm) isn't when you play ring games. Is this because you are trying to improve your HU game, or you think you have more of an edge and can get a better win-rate at HU or what?

People did comment on my thread and said you do still play alot of ring games so it might just be coincidence that I aint seen but I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

    Thanks guys!

Hi Guys have a great Show as always;  Everyone knows your Analyst Redmond "lolufold" works out the card percentages in his head while playing at the tables,  so can he tell me what the percentage of profit is for 10% of nothing. Just Curious in case I win the Caption Contest.  lol    Hugs Annie xxx

Hi both have a great show , question for reds , if you have absolutely no reads whatsoever on an oppo and you are sittin with KK and its just you and villian left in the hand , if after a raise the villian shoves say 100-200 bb's on you would you EVER fold here ??

And if so how deep would you have to be to fold ??

Hi James i am really looking forward to listening to Redmond tonight,he is a top quality player who consistently gets the job done.

I have recently started to play 2/4p cash and to be honest i am struggling to put my opponents on a hand range, when i play deepstack tournaments i usually have a good read on my opponents and generally know where i am in a hand can Reds give any advice to help?

I appreciate this is a difficult question to give a definitive answer to but i would like to hear Redmond's thoughts.

As a former tourny player whos struggled to make the transition into cash i would like to ask Redmond, how long did it take him and what level of cash did he start at?

also just out of curiousity, i know i played a hand badly but would like Redmonds comments if possible, its from Master Cash table 6 last night

Really looking forward to this, having seen Redmond on the show before, his analysis of cash games is incredibly good and gives a real insight into the thinking of a real top player.

And the wife is ill in bed so I'm allowed to watch it all :)

Hey, don't get me wrong, I love my wife alot and am genuinely sympathetic for her pain and wish I could do more to make it better.

But....... My Saturday evening has gone from Strictly Come Dancing followed by X Factor and possibly the Transformers movie that Love Film sent even though I made Rounders the only 'priority' on my list!  To, 3 hours of 865 with one of the best studio guests I've ever seen, playing 2 or 3 tournies and if I fancy a late one, watching Drunken Master which I have on Sky+

    What you going do?

Hey Reds and James, When is it NOT a good spot to c-bet.
eg When I've raised pre and the flop drops 3 hearts (I have none) should I be c-betting this?
