Hi, guys. enjoyed the tourney tonight (obv) the bubble tonight was sick, im not usually as nitty on the bubble but just couldnt find a spot. on the question tonight, although i hung around with 6 and 5 bbs at times i think we have to get it in around 9 and 10. It just takes practice to get the shove/fold ranges right. p.s unlucky to the bubble tonight going out with QQ Posted by AAelmoAA

Have to diagree with you James about the Matrix Reloaded, I thought that one was ok just because of the ''freeway chase'' scene - total action which I based Film studies coursework on and got a B!
On the subject of short stacks, it's not just about shoving when you get short, you need to be aware of the other stacks at the table. If the others are quite shallow then you can easily get down to 5 or 6 BBs and still be able to steal. If the others are sitting there with 30 or 40 BBs then 10 - 12 becomes a better "stealing stack"! Your range of shoving hands is also important. If you get called it's better to have cards that work together rather than something like 10 3 off. At least give yourself an opportunity to improve if you shove with less than a premium hand. With antis in play, you have to be aware how quickly your stack will diminish (something like 2.1/2 bb per orbit instead of 1.1/2) and therefore below 16 BBs you are short stacked but again other stacks and your position should dictate when and who you should shove into.
Great show, as always, and what about them 49s...unbelievable!
i actually took your advice james and recorded both the repeats just to make sure its definatly recorded
on the thread of short stacking once i think you can let yourself get down to 7-8bbs at the lowest, but you should shove any 2 once you get this low, its best to shove cards at 10bbs as your less likely to get called light by a big stack, also once below 15bbs you should never bet fold imo, your just wasting chips
i personally prefare shoving suited connectors like 67 or 89 as to cards such as k10 or q9, because if you get called by ak or aq your cards are live and you are not dominated, unless they have a high pocket pair of course lol
