hi tikay,
been on sky poker for a short time,i dont tend to play here often prefer PKR,and the reason is to many bounty hunter and rebuy tourney's.
i prefer standard  buy in tournaments, after a certain time of night all it is,is rebuy or bounty hunter tourney's this is ruining the sky poker experience for me.

nice answer - lmao - i dont usually play here as i said.if things keep improving then i may change where i play.

maybe i want to play here, show a bit of support for SKY putting in the hard work they are doing, seems to me like sky are putting in the effort and after all its a UK run site,so they want new players,i'm here asking why so many bounty hunters, its a genuine question.

I kinda agree with the OP, Bounty Hunters are alright, but there's rather a lot of them. However, as long as Sky Poker has less users than other sites, the other sites will always be able to offer more tournaments at the same time and therefore, more variety. I'm not a massive fan of bounty hunters, but whatever is most popular with the majority of people on Sky Poker is always going to have more games than everything else.

I also hate rebuys, but once again, if that's what's most popular with people on here, then so be it. I'll just play DYM's or something instead.

Soz mate BUT i just thought 1st post and ure moanin already ;))

Ive been here for over 2 yrs and bounty hunters have always been popular , virtually every tourny busts the guarentee.

Rebuys were not an instant hit with everyone BUT once again it seems they have now been accepted and well supported.

There are some tournys that you may well like , the doublestacks , rollers (main and mini) and the opens.

Once again soz for my rudeness (im a woman , what did you expect ??) ;))

Gl and i hope you stay and find summin worth playin xxx

thanks for taking the time to reply,i have been playing solid for 2 days now,and been playing on the deep stacks and enjoying them.i have also played a couple of bounties - grrrrrrr i played a while ago but just didnt like the formats so just bust and didnt re-deposit.

just to let you know sky have now 3 times given me a bonus of £10 if i deposited £5,now that in my opinion is somethhing special,it's making me feel like they want me to play here.i like this its customer care to the max.

i like the fact SKY are trying their hardest to make me a sky poker regular, but i just dont like some of the formats, last night i put £45 into my acc and have played most of today, then it gets to 10pm and every single tournament is rebuy and bounties,i just dont feel this is attractive to me personally and thought i would come and ask tikay why this was,i didnt want to sound like a moaning faced cnut, maybe just came out this way :)

    thanks james.

    Good morning Mr Hunter.

Sorry you feel there are too many Bounty Hunters, but Sky Poker tries to react to demand, and whether you or I like it or not, Bounty Hunters attract more plyers than "regular" Tourneys - they just do! A, say, £20 BH will get, roughly, 30% more runners than a £20 "regular" Tourney. We can't argue with th numbers, I'm afraid, & it is important to give our players what they want.

Rebuys? There is only one Rebuy "Main Event", & that aside, players have an adequate choice between "regular" freezeouts & BH's.

I hope you stick around & take a look at the schedule, there is something for everyone, but business being what it is, the fayre offered needs to reflect Customer demand.

Take care now, & good luck at the Tables!

Hi was going to make a new post last night but this thread seems easier to write on.

I usually get to play poker late evening from 10pm onwards for a few hours most nights so i miss all the ME's etc.. However last night was different i logged on at 7pm and had a spare 3hrs or so. Now my BR isn't huge and i tend to stick to the correct BRM.

So i log on last night, thought i could squeeze in a MTT, to my surprise there wasn't one that i could realistically enter. There was 2 £5.75 BH's Some satellites and a couple of D/S events for the next hour an a half. I can't afford to enter £5 tournies as means i would need £250-£500 BR.

I wonder why throughout the day there is £20gtd and £25gtd £1.10 tournements every hour but in the evening there is just 1 at 22:15.

This tournement always hits gtd, and its valooo for a £1.00 and if u win u can win £20+ ftw if its a rebuy.

Plz sky run more of the £25gtd rebuy in the evenings for us paupers ;-)

    Great Post Bobsicool3!

I have been here since May, I love the site, (despite the efforts of the RNG to send me mad or elsewhere), and I do not/have not used any other site.

The principal reason I stay is because the forums and general chat is brilliant! OK, so I may be a softie but not so long ago a thread was posted by one of our autistic players asking for help and advice. The answers and following discussion had me in tears, and you know what? the one that opened the flood-gates was from, wait for it, debdobs 67. So Hunterlad, if you are reading this forget the acerbic reply and the "I`m a woman" thing, you just caught her on a bad day. She has had her moments re the RNG etc but a more positive and helpful soul you couldn`t hope to meet. Stick around and you will find scores of reasons to stay almost regardless of the games on offer.

Having said all that I do agree with your and Bobsicool3. I`m a recreational player and I manage my BR. But, I love the MTT and am not a fan of BH or RB and I do find it hard to be almost excluded during the late evening.Never mind, I shall stay whatever, and I wouldn`t be surprised if the "Powers that be" sneak in a slot for us.

Good luck at the tables, (`cept against me of course)!

To be fair the payout structure in the BH tourneys is absolutly dreadful. I've seen it were you win something like 5.85£ for 11-20th when its a 11£ entry fee, and no by winning heads does not mean its okay

I am biased as I am a Bounty Hunter junkie. I love the speed of the tourneys and they give me the ability to play however I feel. Some days I am super aggro and take Bounties early, other days I play the long game and look to go deep. I've never seen a Bounty Hunter with overlay, on the contrary, most break the guarantee by a mile. I'm not a fan of Rebuy tourneys, but thats a personal thing as I can't stop myself rebuying.lol. Anyway, good luck at the tables and I hope you start to love the Bounty Hunters as much as I do.lol

    They are popular.  End of.

I know another poker site that has clearly been keeping on eye on Sky.  They used to have a nightly rebuy as their  'main' tournie.

They then went to 'head' hunters where on a 30 euro BI there was like 5 euro on each head.

Now its the same format as the Sky BHs EVERY night and the numbers have risen.

BUT where is the TSP Classic.  We need this back.  The sat for the UKOPS main isn't as popular as the first UKOPS supersat because there are no GTD seats and its 24 rather than 11.  Get the TSP back on the schedules.

    PPL LOVE THEM!

i reckon they're so popular as the variance is less as its easier to get some sort of return of your money, plus they add another dynamic to the play, ever seen what happens when a shortstacks goes all in in a £5 bounty, EVERYONE WANTS IT!

i personally would like to see more regular  deeper stacked tournaments on every night, it would be awesome if there was a 4k Double stack on every night

No idea, but I really don't see the need for such language, it adds nothing.
