They are popular.  End of. I know another poker site that has clearly been keeping on eye on Sky.  They used to have a nightly rebuy as their  'main' tournie. They then went to 'head' hunters where on a 30 euro BI there was like 5 euro on each head. Now its the same format as the Sky BHs EVERY night and the numbers have risen. BUT where is the TSP Classic.  We need this back.  The sat for the UKOPS main isn't as popular as the first UKOPS supersat because there are no GTD seats and its 24 rather than 11.  Get the TSP back on the schedules.

It may return in due course, Ryan, but there's a need to mix things up, freshen it regularly. Sometime we get it right, sometimes not so. Nothing is cast in stone.

I don't care if Phil Ivey is a reg in 'em lol. Okay lets take a normal sky tourney... 101 players = pay 20 ppl 199 players = pay 20 people.

i agree not a fan of BH but they are popular so always going to be more of them.

as for payouts i think any tourney sky should just pay top 10% reward the ones who go ftw ;) it makes sense too

Hi was going to make a new post last night but this thread seems easier to write on. I usually get to play poker late evening from 10pm onwards for a few hours most nights so i miss all the ME's etc.. However last night was different i logged on at 7pm and had a spare 3hrs or so. Now my BR isn't huge and i tend to stick to the correct BRM. So i log on last night, thought i could squeeze in a MTT, to my surprise there wasn't one that i could realistically enter. There was 2 £5.75 BH's Some satellites and a couple of D/S events for the next hour an a half. I can't afford to enter £5 tournies as means i would need £250-£500 BR. I wonder why throughout the day there is £20gtd and £25gtd £1.10 tournements every hour but in the evening there is just 1 at 22:15. This tournement always hits gtd, and its valooo for a £1.00 and if u win u can win £20+ ftw if its a rebuy. Plz sky run more of the £25gtd rebuy in the evenings for us paupers ;-)

I can understand why people love BH's thought because u dont even need to win or ft to make profit so it does appeal, so i can understand why sky run them so much because its profitable for them. Not rocket science.

I just think there should be more £1.10 £25gtd rebuys in the evening apart from the only one at 22:15 they run them all throughout the day everyhour somtimes 2x a hour. but then they stop.

it is a simple algorithm to make it easier.  no doubt any alternative system will either use a different algorithm or a complicated formula.  there are the two extremes too, "winner takes all" at one end to "everyone gets their money back".  i think its a case of being unhappy as it is but probably no less unhappy with any other mechanism?

    hi guys,
thanks for the replies,i guess it looks like bounty hunters are like marmite - you either love em or hate em no middle ground.i hate them.
its just a little disapointing when i put £50 of my very hard earned cash in,hopeing to have some fun and maybe make some cash,to then look for a tourney that suits me and at 10 o clock at night find only bounty hunter or rebuy tournies, its a bit of a disapointment since imho 10pm is primetime.

glad to see sky poker putting a lot of effort into becoming a 1st class site, more freezeout's after 9 pm would certainly make me a regular player.

    thanks

The bh tournies are popular cause you dont have to be a top 10 player to get some of your money back. Win a couple of flips and you have your buy in back. Play a normal game and you need more than a bit of luck to win BH are really more of a gamblers game than a freezeout or better still a doublestack.

On a slightly different approach do you northink its worth upping the gaurantees on some of these tournies as they are getting regularly smashed. Bigger gaurantee draws in a bigger crowd bit of a self fullfilling prophecy.

We have to listen to our customers, Mr Hunter, & they have overwhelmingly shown that the majority of them want more Bounty Hunters.

You might not like it, I might not like it, but the majority do - there can be NO debate around that, the stats prove it.

    £200 gtd  starting 01:00hrs £5.50 buy in 53 persons
bounty hunter starting 01:05hrs £2.30 buy in 40/50 persons

so all in all pretty even tho the gtd had a x 2 buy in.

    hi guys and gals,
been watching with great interest the situation with bounties v deep stacks/freeze outs and i tell you what the numbers on both are pretty even, obviously this is dependant on the price of the tourney.

    more deep stacks please sky.......

    thanks hunterlad.

Hi all dont post around here often but just thought id add my opinion.

Im a recreational player. I dont have a bankroll system I simply play with what I can afford to lose. On a weekend I may decide to stay in rather than spend £100+ on a night out. If this is the case I treat myself to a bigger than normal deposit and get stuck into some MTTs.

Bounty Hunters are my favourite. Im confident that if I apply myself and play as well as I can then I can usually finish in the top third.  In BHs this gives me two chances, firstly to finish in a cash spot or secondly by my exit ive probably taken one or two scalps which will either go some way to getting back some of my buy in amount or even make a small profit. My favourite MTT is the £2k BH for £11.

Obviously its each to their own. Rebuys put me off but I understand theyll be others favourites.

Anyhow heres my vote in favour. Long live the Bounty Hunter!

I don`t think Hunterlad or any of us who prefer £20g or Deep Stack as opposed to BH and RB want either of those to be changed in any way.

Not one of us wants to spoil anyone else's fun; indeed, all we are asking is to be allowed to share the evening enjoyment by having one or two £20g or DS included in the menu.

I'm another big fan of Sky's Bounty Hunter tournaments, the bounty format here is the best of any online site I've played on. I find them great fun and very beatable, I've been fortunate enough to make a healthy profit playing the lower buy-in Bounty Hunters during daytime hours.
