I note with interest that some sites now offer the ability for a player to hide his/her alias. Personally i`m not too keen on this as I prefer to know who I am playing against for obvious reasons. What do other players think?

    I think it works both ways.
    Good players will attract action from players normally steering a wide course.
    Lesser players may receive greater respect as good players may be more cautious in their fore play.

    Imagine the tournaments results thread;

    anonymous7040001£1760 + 160 League Points
    anonymous02£1056 + 152 League Points
    anonymous03£704 + 144 League Points
    etc.04£492.80 + 136 League Points
    Wouldn't be much fun, neither would ch.865 programmes for that matter, I hope it doesn't happen here.

    Well that, and surely it's completely unlike the live game... meaning, in a live game you can look at someone and think 'oh yeah, i know him, he's a complete fish', you can also do that now on Sky with your little yellow notes (or your own memory) but if you can't see who you're playing, how can you possibly have reads etc?

    Well that is precisely why one or two Sites are now doing it.......

    However, there are no current plans to introduce it on Sky Poker.

    The game of poker consists of ''reads'', if you lose the ability to distinguish between players, you lose the game of poker in my opinion.

    I wouldn't play at a site that adopted this style, ever, ever, ever.

    If Sky ever bring in this option then i'm off. Ridiculous idea as it takes away a very important part of the game
