My coin-flip diary

I have been playing poker for about 7 months and seem to lose a rediculous percentage of the flips I take. I do NOT think the site is fixed, I just believe I have horrible luck.

So for the next few weeks I am going to record how many flips (All in preflop obv) I win and how many I lose.

Although I have lost the last 5 in a row :/ I will not include them in this thread as that would skew the data.

They will mainly come from DYMs where in the late stages they are often unavoidable, and I will post them at the end of each session.

I am hoping this thread will show me that I'm not as unlucky as I believe : )

Current Stats (Updated after each session):       Flips taken:8        Flips lost:6

Lol this will be a very interesting thread Fail.

Fingers crossed you start running well and prove yourself wrong, and make some money in the process.

Hopefully you can show all these area 51ers that ya do win coin flips about 50% of the time.

A pp that faces 2 overcards ? AK vs QJ ?

Pocket pair vs overcards, or vice versa

    @Debs, we'll pull through eventually!

AK v QJ is 60/40 therefore cannot be defined as a flip due to the fact AK will win 20% more of the time.

Fail i know it seems pointless but would be good if you could post up your flips as then people know it defo was a flip. Im terrible for saying after a run of 5 flips lost ill say i lost 20. It gets into ur head ur gna lose ur next 15 anyways so might aswell say it pmsl.

No saying ur going to exadurate as youve made this for the right reasons. I for one believe some flips are avoidable.

I actually think AK will win more of the time, if my logic is correct...

Overtime time you'd expect AK to win 60/100 and QJ to win 40/100, so....

60 is 50% bigger than 40..therefore AK wins 50% more of the time than QJ does.

Lol i wasn't trying to pick up on a mistake m8. It just got me thinking about how more often it should win.

Im not even sure my logic is correct.

You're right, AK will win ~50% more of the time than QJ

@Don the reason I am not going to post HHs is because even that would not be proof as I could easily post up less winning flips and this thread is mainly for my own "Unlucky" mentalitity so I know I won't cheat myself.

Oh yeh mate, i wasnt suggesting it was a flip, was just picking up on another point in this thread.

Back on topic..I did exactly what your doing. I recorded all my flips for 1 day in DYMS but then gave up. Firstly, there werent as many flips as i thought there would be actually. You only had 2 in 6 games.

Secondly, it wasnt losing a flip that bothered me (as long as i got it in 1st). It was overpairs losing to underpairs that gave me the biggest kick in the balls :(

    gl and run well :)
