I was just giving the honest opinion of a tournament player, I can fully understand why cash players will enjoy this new innovation so I welcome it.
Personally I don't play cash poker as I find it tedious. Tournaments are my game, tournaments are fun and I play poker for fun, not to make money. Cash games on a delay set to awful muzak will never appeal to people like me.
I'll try to remember to Sky+ all the live shows in future as they're on when I'm asleep, series link doesn't work for them, I usually rely on catching the replays that are shown during the day, hence my comment.

I'm sure that there will still be repeats of the show (which is a good thing as it lets those who missed it catch up) but they are repeated lots of times so surely something that offers some new material is to be welcomed.

That's the thinking Mr Toot. We get a lot of noise about "too many repeats", but TV costs SO much money to make, & if they were to spend more on the Channel, that means less in other areas, C4P, Promotions, Freerolls, da de da.
Imagine, for example, & hypothetically, saying "OK, Ch 865 will go live 24/7, but C4P will be scrapped". That'd be lose/lose, for both parties. But the spend cake is only so big, & can only be cut so many ways. More here means less there.
Enjoyed seeing some live hands. Im sure it crashed a few times though. But im sure those bugs will be ironed out quickly. Definetly want to see more of this.
The idea of staging the Trial @ 1pm today was so that the Staff involved in setting it all up - quite a few, as it happens - did not have to come here in the middle of the night for a 1 hour run-through. There is a lot more mileage & development in the thing yet, so let's wait & see what tx times are eventually chosen. It kinda depends on a lot of things, including how well-received it is, & if it drives business. That's what 865 exists for - to promote, educate, entertain (except when Orford is on), & help promote the business & drive revenue. With the exception of the BBC & other PSB's, that's what all TV does, or tries to do - drive business.
Anything that sky do to make watching the channel more interesting for us as customers is something we should be grateful for, whether we like it or not. No one is forcing you to watch it, but its great to see something fresh on the schedule. Thanks sky
I only watch 865 3 or 4 times per week at the moment mainly because when I switch it on i'm usually dissapointed to see yet another repeat of the primo etc.
Don't get me wrong though, there have been many times when i've missed the primo or a main event and had to watch the repeat so the repeats are still a useful tool.
At least the guys and gals at Sky Central are making possitive strides forward - so much applause for that.
Gutted I missed out on this (I was in work) but I aint anywhere near being rolled to play on Mastercash 9 anyway.
I assume this won't just be on the high roller tables if they do roll it out? I know people like to see a nice big pot but it would be so disappointing to just get more of the high rollers shown and nothing else when there's already plenty of moaning than many low stakes players never get to appear on 865 due to not being able to afford to play the main events.
Would be nice to see just how players can be as tight as they are. I played with one reg, who recently posted in this forum in fact for an entire hour. He played 3 hands. I would love to see what he is folding.
Shame I missed this but sounds an excellent idea. Yet again, showing that Sky ARE trying to improve and give something extra. Notification in chat box would be good when about to air.
Quick question, what was the time delay and were the hole cards shown or covered?
4 live shows over xmas too is great (although a bit too much orford )

Onward & upward!

Think, as appears do the majority, that this is a cracking idea. Any idea when the next one will be.
