Shame I missed it - some of us gotta work!

I do like the idea thought for 2 reasons:

    1) Trying something new is commendable

    2) Only showing edited/intersting hands does not give any clues re table dynamics etc so difficult to empathise (coo long word!) or think what I would do in that spot.

PS. Athough I only play 2/3 times a week not seen anything of Santa, Elf(sure its TK),etc what are they up too?

Was Sky's softcore porrrrn music used in the background out of interest?

It's a trial guys, there will be a few glitches, but the only way to trial it is to run it during the day when we know we can fill the Seats.

Great idea, but i would have thought the evening would have been busier both in terms of players and viewers?

It's like the hold music when you phone CC, it's bad enough but made  much worse by it cutting out EVERY 15 seconds to tell you they have a high volume or whatever..

I watched it for half an hour, but I dont really get it. Probably because I play so little cash !

Why would any cash player want to play on this table ? Surely all their rivals must gain an edge by watching them ?

Loved some of the ancient promos used as filler when it went wrong. Kara, The Club and Tikay looking a few years younger !

Quite so - but please see my earlier reply.,.....

The idea of staging the Trial @ 1pm today was so that the Staff involved in setting it all up - quite a few, as it happens - did not have to come here in the middle of the night for a 1 hour run-through

As I have tried to emphasise, 3 or 4 times now, it was simply a "first stage" Live Trial.

The finished product will NOT be what you saw today, & you should not assume stuff like that will be included.

Both the music, & the "promos" were simply heath robinson, & temporary.

Much of the testing has been hampered by our current studio, which we will be leaving, for a brand new, state of the art, studio, in February, & then we can add on all the bells & whistles. So, there is no logic to investing in new kit for the current studio.

We were also hampered, again as I noted at the very start of the thread, by the absence of Mother, due to illness, as it is she who has driven the Project.

Oh that post was more to show my annoyance of the phone lines.

I think this went really well (at least for the 10 minutes I watched), especialy for the first time.

    Keep the improvements coming sky!

Would be nice to see just how players can be as tight as they are. I played with one reg, who recently posted in this forum in fact for an entire hour. He played 3 hands. I would love to see what he is folding.  :)

i played as a spin up 5x my usual level and clearly stated i was there for a gamble, bought in for the minimum and got through a 4bet shove with JJ against QQ (who had i think about 5 times my stack!) was a good one to see on tv!

Penguin got it right - it is roughly 100 yards away from our existing one. 100 yards north, to be fair.....

For those geeky enough to be interested, here's a piece from The Guardian about it.....

Yes, it's quite some building, very imposing indeed. Bit like Mother, who, sorry to say, remains unwell, & we won't see her this week, for sure.
