Type Hendon Mob Poker Calculator into Google for an online odds calculator, I also have an iPhone app which I now use called poker odds calculator.

Hope this helps and good luck at the tables

welcome to the forum Glen, maths not my strong point, what i do is look at the size of the pot, look at how many outs i,ve got(the more outs the better the odds)look at the size of my stack then decide if its worth calling, shoving or folding,i fold most of the time especially if a flip can leave you shortstacked,in the latter stages i get more aggressive.
dunno if its good/bad advice but im just a rec player who does,nt take it as serious as i should

Position in NLH is massively important. Basically if you're the last to act after the flop then you're in the best position.

If you're on the dealer button then you know you're going to be last to act.

There are loads of free videos on youtube and free advice on websites explaining all aspects of the game.

I'm no expert either but I found the odds listed in the Hot o meter useful (it's the last tab in the bottom left on the main view on Sky Poker tables) when learning what my chances are pre flop, post flop and post turn. I ignore the "on fire", "fold 'em", etc comments as they don't take into account stack sizes, position, looseness/tightness of opponents and all the other things that need to be considered before deciding what button to click... if only I remembered what they were instead of just clicking "all in"... :)

I don't leave it visible though as I found myself getting mesmerised by all the numbers!

In Response to Re: Ask Tikay:

........  + 1 to all of the above but I just wish to add why 'position' is so important, you need to remember that by being in position it will give you an added advantage in as much as that you can lose a small pot but also win a big pot ...ie: you can have more pot control.
