I'm done now Plops, we are going round & round, & getting nowhere, I'm afraid I've rather wasted my time today, we are back where we began! Neatly making the point.

I will not be responding further.

Sorry, I'm not with you as to the PhilUK thing, not sure what you mean.

Too lazy to quote everything in this thread that I agree and disagree with and respond individually, however, I looked in there earlier while posting a thread, and the first thing I noticed was that on the 1st page, there were only 2 threads with double figure post counts, both of those were moved from GPC, which shows just how much more response threads get in GPC than Community Suggestions.

The issue isn't with the content in GPC, as there's some brilliant ideas in that section from time to time, but some don't even get a response. The problem is with people's perception of that section.

I've read a load of stuff about "Hire people on minimum wage to respond to that section", and I think that's completely OTT, to be honest. All that really needs to happen IMO is for CS to be moved up the forum so people notice that it's actually there, and read it more. I'd imagine most people read through the boards from top to bottom? Instead of being near the bottom, maybe just put it above BBV? If you want people to post in CS rather than GPC, then I think it makes sense to move that section up so that it gets noticed.

Idk about this forum, but on most forum software that I've used before, this is a job that takes about 2 minutes, and is usually done by altering a couple of values which determine the order in which boards show up, so it wouldn't be difficult to change this. Honestly, I can't see any problems with at least giving this a go.
