Its ridiculous how you cant run sats for Luton and UKOPS, in my opinion more ppl would rather make the SPT at a reasonable budget. Sunday is the best day for poker so would be nice if you can have some micro sats to the semi with the normal £5.20.
Pweety pwease Sky, you know it makes sense

seems daft to me!
Dave
+1 would be good to see some £5-20 sats in Dec.
Guys, I have already explained - elsewhere on the Forum - why Sky Poker felt it would be unwise to run both UKOPS & (a full schedule of) SPT satellites parallel. You may well disagree, but it does not mean it is a wrong decision - they need to balance the liquidity. Have you considered the available luquidity?
There are 4 "Main" Xmas UKOPS Events, & all the enhanced sideys, & it is important for the business - which, you note is an ONLINE business - to get UKOPS out of the way first, & not compromise it.
I will ask the question of the Suits again, as I did last week, as to starting the full Satellite Schedule for SPT Luton earlier, but when I did so last week, the logic they explained to me was irrefutable.
I note, again, Sky Poker described as "ridiculous", daft", & " a shock nothing has happened". Lovely.
I don't suppose it has occurred to you that there is a certain psychology required in getting something you want........and suggesting it is "ridiculous" or "daft" ain't exactly gonna win hearts & minds.
I'm surprised at you John, but I'll not respond in kind, as you'd not like that, would you?
Thank you for your response Tikay, our main points are :
UKOPS Satellites and SPT Satellites are completely different, so therefore it should not affect the numbers of each satellite if they were run all together.
I think its important to get seats locked up for SPT way before the event as its a 2 dayer, so a) you have to make plans like free up your diary etc b) those that are far away need to book accommodation the sooner the better. Personally i can just drive there so its not too much a problem here but i just want to qualify sooner rather then later :P
Anyways if that's the Suits decision then so be it, just really asking a question which on a Sunday i knew i was unlikely to get a response. As they say don't ask....
Regards
John
Yes John, they DO understand your views, because they made the effort to study the problem carefully, & at great length, in several Management meetings I was party to, BEFORE making the decision, & I have tried, 4 times now, to explain the reasoning.
It appears we have a difference of opinion, which is fine. I'll not describe you, or anyone else who has a different view though - as daft or ridiculous. There is nothing wrong with varying opinions, but just because two parties hold different views, how does that make either party daft?
"....UKOPS Satellites and SPT Satellites are completely different, so therefore it should not affect the numbers of each satellite if they were run all together...."
Yes, that is understood. That is not the issue, not at all. It is NOT a question of being different, it is a question of liquidity, the UKOPS Guarantees, & so a need to focus on UKOPS first. There are massive (for this site) Guarantees on UKOPS, & if they "miss", that's just setting fire to pound notes. Would you fancy burning, say, £20,000 or £30,000 of your own cash?
I don't know what Football Team you support (if any), but are the supporters of all the other teams daft?
What if I describe you as "daft", how would that go down? It's amazing how so many come on here & abuse the Company, God help them if the Company replied in kind, there'd be murders, lawsuits, & all sorts.
Can i just point out i didn't use the word 'Daft' although 'ridiculous' does pretty much have the same meaning.
When i have initially posted i thought whats the best way to get someone to respond quick and obviously didnt think properly about it and i have apologised for calling it ridiculous as after all that is my opinion.
As for football team, I support Charlton Athletic FC and in football you do make judgements based on who people support but then obviously you re-assess it once you have met someone personally.
You would not be the first and definately not the last to call me daft, but i appreciate you dont. As i have never directly called you daft or any names (that i can remember lol)
Anyways its just a difference in opinions Mr TK, no problemo and thanks for your responses
You suggested that Posting in such an aggressive style was more likely to get an urgent response (on a Sunday). I would have thought, with due respect, that the precise opposite was true.
When someone asks me to do something (in my private life), my response is going to depend pretty much on how they go about addressing me. I would have thought that was fairly obvious.
Let's move on.
