Pingu, you're a smart, smart man...

Yes, we're test-running a new 'Happy Hour' facility on Sky Poker. Depending on how things play out today, it could well become a feature that becomes a permanent addition to the Sky Poker promos list.

How does it work? For today's experiment, ALL cash game players playing between 1-2pm will be receiving an additional 50% Poker Points boost. That means you're effectively earning 50% more for doing nothing more than normal.

We say should because we want to make sure everyone knows this is still in trial. It could fall over, but we suspect it won't. Either way, you're effectively freerolling the boost between 1-2pm.

Ah, but if you're enjoying playing your poker anyway, or even learning a little something on the way to the defeat, that's fun in itself, right?

Of course, we'd all rather win 100% of the time :)

It does mean accumulating points for the Cash for Points boost is somewhat easier, so if you were ever tempted to try an extra table or move up a limit, this *could* be as good a time as any to give it a spin.

A couple of small points of clarification on how this should work for you. Pay attention if you're the kind of player who likes to play a hand, stand up, then sit back down again. Not sure there are any of you out there, but you never know....

** Poker points are calculated pro-rata at the end of each 'subscription' (that's the technical term, that is...) i.e. when the players stands up from the cash table.

**  The bonus multiplier is then applied

** Any fractions are rounded down to the nearest point (as is the case normally)

Also, don't forget the Action Tables - those earn you more Poker Points than a regular table anyway, and with the 50% Happy Hour boost applied, it could really start adding up! Check this out...

It's being looked at for cash games at the moment 1267. If it's opened up to MTTs or SNGs we'll certainly let everyone know.
