Christmas is a time for giving.

But more importantly, in your cases, it's time for receiving as well.
Yes, on tonight's show Carlo and I are giving away TEN seats to Santa's Grotto: our amazing freeroll which takes place tomorrow night (23rd) at 7.15pm.

Here's the prizes on offer in that..!

1st place - 3D TV with 3D glasses plus £250 cash

2nd place - iPad2 plus £200 cash

3rd place - Xbox 360 plus Kinect Sensor plus £150 cash

4th place - Digital camera plus £100 cash

5th place - Bose headphones plus £75 cash

6th - 40th - from £75 to £25


40 prizes and there's only 74 entrants so far. Qualification has now closed- so these seats are gold dust!


A 3D TV or Ipad2 for Christmas? Cash me in!


How do you win a seat...?



Well, due to competition regulations etc- we can't be giving away these seats in the Sky Sports section of the show- which means this is an opportunity for loyal Sky Poker players/viewers only!

It also means that we'll be resolving the competition around 9.45pm just before The Rail and then the simulcast on Sky Sports 4 at 10pm.

Here's what you'll need to do.

Simply watch the show from 8!

At the top of the show just after 8pm, we'll give you a Christmassy word or phrase to write down. Make a note of it and then look out at around 8.30pm, 9pm and 9.30pm for 3 more festive words/phrases.

As soon as you've got all 4- email them immediately to skyopen@bskyb.com along with your name and your player alias.

We'll announce the TEN winners at around 9.45pm. It could be well worth your time if you land a massive state-of-the-art TV this Christmas!

And look out at 8pm for that first Xmas password!

    Hi Mr Orford. I thought it was 4pm this afternoon when regestration for the Santa's Grotto? I played all the cash and never got an Email, so assumed it was this afternoon. Lets hope I win one of the 10 tonight. Best wishes. Shaun the Villa fan in Bham

    Please be aware if you already have a seat into Santa's Grotto you cannot enter this competition as its one seat per person

    I'm sure it's a Yuletide error and you will be already entered!
    Mr Orford himself met the criteria playing on more than five occasions 10p tables and greater!
    the 74 will probably increase by 1500 +

    true.. but they had to first enter a code in order to qualify.  so probably fewer will be added.

    Yeah, schoolboy error from me there, Dino. 

    I meant that if the field stayed the same as it is now (74) + these 10 extra seats- then roughly half the field would win a prize.

    I didn't take into the account players registering from 4 this afternoon, so I would expect the field to be a lot larger by the time we kick off tomorrow night.

    That said, it's STILL a pretty amazing promotion. Considering it's totally free and it's a competition that any of you could realistically win, rather than a national comp with thousands of entries where you're drawn out of a hat.

    Interestingly, does everyone want the 3D TV? Personally I'd rather have the ipad2. Other might prefer the XBox. Wonder if anyone will start playing tactically to secure a particular prize- or, if you don't fancy a 3D Tv, it's still a case of going for the win because it's worth more and you can then sell it to cash in?

    I'd rather come 4th than 3rd, and win the digital camera, already have an Xbox and a Wii so don't really need another Xbox and Kinect. Also agree that I'd rather have the iPad 2.

    I waited for an email then found I'd got a text. But if you go to the freerolls on the site you can try to register and see what happens
