Puc I'm just going to basically repeat what JJ has said because Dan won't come on here to defend himself against something out of his control because he has manners.

Why are you trying to single out Dan when 5 people finished above him and lots of others got similar pay outs ? The matter is out of his control for all we know sky could have just cancelled the whole thing and he got nothing like everyone else. He was pretty mad when it got cancelled because he believed he could have cashed for alot more so in thoery this could have cost have 2k etc

Think about what your saying about other individuals in the future when it was actually a collective that got similar payouts on something that was not thier fault but skys. Sky are right to refund everyone and keep the payout as of last night because it was thier error.

PICKED OUT DAN AS HE CAME ON HERE AND SAID WHAT HE HAD BEEN PAID. I MYSELF WAS DOING WELL AFTER THE FIRST HOUR AND A HALF AND WOULD HAVE HOPED TO HAVE GONE ALOT DEEPER THAN I DID

IF I COULD HAVE SEEN THE FULL PAYOUT TABLE I MIGHT HAVE USED ANOTHER PERSON .

SORRY IF I HAVE OFFENDED ANYONE , BUT I (AS WERE MANY OTHERS) WAS VERY ANGRY WITH WHAT HAD HAPPENED.

I think whether we went out before or was still in when it was cancelled is irrelivent as everyone was effected to some extent, obviously sky know that something like this changes the entire dynamic and causes those people to go out before it was cancelled so I think the fact your advisors are telling people they definitely WONT receive a refund because they went out before it was cancelled is out of order, you guys are obviously still investigating it which is fine and are finding a fair way to sort it out but I think this should be relayed to your advisors and they should be advising that it's still being investigated, not being rude to their customers.

    Hi everyone

Just to give a final update on this.

We have completed the investigations on this tournament now. It was an odd thing which has not happened before and is specific to large field bounty hunter tournaments (of which this was the highest number of runners ever).

As a precautionary measure to avoid this in future, we have capped the number of runners in bounty hunter events to 500. Obviously we aim to fix this asap, but we thought this prudent until then.

Please remember that we paid out the full prize pool yesterday in the fairest way possible asap. As many of you have already pointed out, we have also resolved the specific issues of many people and paid out additional compensation on a case by case basis to those affected.

If you still feel you have something that needs resolving relating to this, please do contact our customer care team who will help you.

Please accept our apologies again for this and thank you for your patience.

Best wishes for the New Year.

    Sky Poker

Whilst this solution is fine for all Remaining players, they were not the only ones effected by this. Some would argue that the eliminated players are the ones that suffered the most and what do they get? - Their already won bounties (not much if anything for most of these players)

This solution is the absolute correct one but should have been implemented immediately. If that was impossible then all eliminated players should be refunded at the expense of sky - it is their resposibility to ensure that their software is capable and can resolve this kind of problem should it occur, its players money at stake everytime we buy-in, rake is inevitable butapprently the safety of our money is not.

Should I stay playing on the site, I cannot say that I would feel safe buying into any medium to high stakes games in the future, not unless We can all be reassured that a safety net is in place.

Hi everyone Please again accept our apologies for this. Just to reiterate, we have settled and paid out fully the tournament in as fair a way as we can asap. This does not mean it is the end of it, we will be doing further things to resolve this as best we can. Naturally we will be investigating this fully overnight and in the morning and will provide a further update then. Do please bear with us whilst we look into the detail on what happened, how people were affected and next steps. As you might imagine, each case is unique and we need time to look into them. Unfortunately, we cannot provide responses to individual cases on the forum. Finally, please remember we do want to deal with this as fairly as we can. Again, we will follow up in the morning. Thanks Sky Poker

    Fair is conjective!
To operate a gaming license you have to be whiter than white!

I wasn't involved in the tournament but I was aware of the problems. I tried to rail the event before 21.00 hrs but could not enter the lobby.

If a technical problem occurs on a licensed site all competitors should be re imbursed and the tournament declared void!

IMO your use of the word fair is an opinion It benefits some, who were least affected by the technical problem. But disadvantages many who were directly affected.

Wednesday there was a problem with a TV feed interface, Yesterday the £20k B/H became a farce. We don't need anything happening tonight on your Flagship tournament!

I think your presenters deserve a medal they coped with a volatile situation tremendously in the absence of any noticeable presence from Sky Technical or Customer service teams.

I think this is a wonderful site and have amazing memories in abundance but I feel it is important whatever the cost!

All who took part in the £20k B/H must be suitably recompensed for the shocking inconvenience.
Whatever Sky pays out they've made on the rake they've taken from satellites into the tournament. Or, will that be refunded?

Hours of satellite play / eager anticipation / financial outlay cannot be measured and deserve better than Sky's opinion of fair!

In Response to Re: £20,000 Bounty Hunter - Technical Problems - Player's View : read 3 posts of yours having a go @ skys settlement for Dan last night..... He was in a gr8 position to win 3 grand but had to settle for next to nothing in comparison. I think he (and others in the top 10) has more right to be angry at the outcome than most!!!!

He may of been in a great position but thanks to what? Skill or the result of a shove fold game after not many hands? I think the players that came out in the negative might feel a bit more hard done by than someone who 'Could have had it all'?

Hi Garden - sorry, this is not true, apologies if you were told this.

It is the same irrespective of if you qualified via satellite or bought in directly.

    Thanks
    Sky Poker

Edit - we see on a later post that you have had this sorted now. Thanks.

dont really no what sky could have done after the event got stopped but still feel i have lost out.

I picked up 3 bounties early on so ended up getting my buy in back through that, when problems started i had about 20BB's so more then playable but due to the problems i ended up getting blinded away while being dealth less then ten hands. Not knowing if it would be stopped or not i shoved my 2.5 BB's and was eliminated probably not that long before the tournement was stopped. Had i known i could have folded the remaining 4 or 5 hands and made the money
