Thanks for the feedback guys.
Our main aim in making the changes to cash for points was to make it fairer (you now get rewarded for each of the qualifying points) and clearer. We hope you agree this has been done.
We definitely are not trying to confuse or deceive anyone here - far from it. It is clear that there are certain examples where people will earn slightly more and others slightly less.
Starting at the bottom for the 500 - 999 tier, for example, where people previously got £5 no matter where you fell on this scale. Now, if we break it down like this, you can see some interesting comparisons:
In this case, which is admittedly just one range of examples, 7 out of the 10 are more generous and someone who gets 950 points now gets more than someone earning 500 points, which we think is fairer. We have been given lots of feedback in the past to say this too.
There is still an incentive for people to 'move-up' the tiers as it gets more and more rewarding (more pence per point), including Priority offers too.
Do please also remember that we will have other offers ongoing help add to peoples rewards - the recent Happy Hours being a good example. There will be more things like this coming, giving you the chance to earn extra points.
We also have exciting plans for other exciting promotions and giveaways too!
Thank you for everyone for taking the time to give us feedback, we appreciate it.
If anybody would like to see the details of how you can get extra bonus points to help boost you Cash for Points - please see our Happy Hour promotion:
Just spoke to Sky Adam on the Priority Line and he admitted that "budget constraints" have lowered the c4p. As I don't play cash and am not very good, I rely on c4p as a large part of my winnings so this is def a bit of a blow for me. My goal for 2012 is to reach £2k for c4p - Under the old system I would have had to make 36000 points and would have got £2187.50 for that. Under the new system, I only have to make 35715 points to make £2k - however: I will only get £2016 for making the extra 685 points (upto 36k), making £171.50 less than under the old system. Ah well - c'est la vie I guess, back to the grind! Posted by JingleMa
Hi Jinglema,
I'm not sure who Sky Adam on the priority line is, (obviously not me!) but I'm the product manager of Sky Poker, you have been completely misinformed here so i need to set this straight right now.
This has absolutely nothing to do with 'budget constraints' i have no idea why that comment was made its extremely misleading and inappropriate.
The only reasons why we have decided to make this change have been clearly stated previously, but in summary to reiterate:

Thank you for the reply other Sky Adam lol, and best wishes to you too.
However, I only play STT's (and the occasional MTT) and the rewards for the new system are definitely less than the old one. Due to connection probs and some other commitments, I will only make 10k points this month - this would get me a bonus of £310 on the new higher priority rate. Under the old system still used for this month, I will get £343.75, £33.75 more.
Every level under the old system seems to be paying less in the new scheme and now if you drop below 10k points for any month, you will also drop a priority level I understand, therefore earning even less.
I appreciate you are not decieving anyone as you have clearly layed out the new plan in the promo section and understand the advantages for having every point worth X pence - but clearly we are receiving less than under the old system.
I'm an MTT player and anyway you dress this up, i am worse off. Its ok sky saying about happy hours, but these are cash only, this is no biggie for me, but NEW in this case doesn't mean better.
Well after careful consideration and basic maths i will defo lose out so imo and prob on behalf of lots who are the same as me the new c4p system is a load of old horsesh1t.
PS bazza may wanna say to edit my post as it breaks the profanity filter

Yeah and as usual 2/4p players are invisible, not even a response when you ask about happy hour etc, we may as well not exist!!!!!!!!!!!
I am also a micro stakes player and usually earn around 14/1500 points per month, and having checked figures for 2011 would be 8 quid worse off under the new system. Will not make enough difference for me to move sites or have a hissy fit, but there again it is after all a BONUS and i personally would rather try and play profitably than sit and grind umpteen tables playing only premium hands and counting how many c4p i have earned.

Why can't sky just admit that they are doing this to basically make more money for the business ?
Some will earn more and some will earn less, but lets be honest, around 75 percent will make less.

I mean we don't know without seeing how much collectively sky payout to all of the players each month.
There are alot of players who got stuck between payout levels before who will now gain more money. Then there are players who will lose out.
So none of us know exactly if this will cost sky more or save them money.
hi
just wondering i get between 5 and 6k a month in points will i be better our worse off?
