I think that with sit and go (fast turn around tornies !!!!!!!) that if you sit out for one round you should be automatically eliminated, Its supposed to be poker  not SITOUT AND GO.

THIS ISN'T FOR REALLY DISCUSSION, JUST AN OPINION.

However if anyone else thinks the same then voice your opinion.

Perhaps if enough people think the same,  then you could have tournies for people that want to play and ones for sadoes ( if thats how you spell it ) that want to sit out.

Or there again you could enter the sit and go and let a random number generator win (or lose) for you, if sky could (well, we know they could if there was enough demand from people who cant play poker but like to play bingo) give us tournies like this.

SIT-OUTS...Or "Poker parasites" as i call them!

I ABSOLUTLY HATE SIT-OUTS...This why Im reluctant to deposit! If you join a table..Play poker not go watch the news for 10-15 minuits!
One site i played on allows 6mins SIT-OUT time ...Thereafter the sit out pays big blind every hand until he/ starts playing again!

Funny how this stopped "sitting-out ...more or less over night!

YES...could be have NON SIT-OUT sit&out tables....then we have a choice...the Poker parasites can all go to the SIT-OUT tables .....and SIT-OUT....

I agree. They should also pay a penalty of 25% of their account balance - that should focus the mind and stop all of the multi-tabling nonsense that slows everything down.

LOL. people do this deliberately. do you not know this. you will lose your chips going for their small or big blind. that is the idea they have..  seen it many times especially in turbos..  the trouble is when there are 4 left . then yu should punish them for doing this and all just steal their blinds, this is the only way they will learn to play their stack..

btw. it is their choice if they chose not to play a hand and be away. it cud be the same and they fold everyhand..  same thing..

This is a ridiculous post, im sure 95% of players sit out because of connection problems. 

It doesn't slow games and the fact its like they're not there so surely you want as many sit out players as possible, noone ever benefits from sitting out.

If you cant beat the sit outs then i suggest poker is not for you.

Oh year "connection probs" ive heard every excuse under the sun....If your connection is that poor....Then why are you playing online poker in the 1st place, or dont some care about risking their cash!
if i had poor internet connection ...as some seem to always have ....i would not be playing online poker !!!

One player even logged onto a table ..then had the cheek to say, "Right, im off to get the kids on the school run! Dammed cheek!

Another signed to $1:00 tables ..then sat in the pub next door to brag about he was playing poker! Only to return 20mins later to rejoin the table when 2-3 players have knocked each other out!

It just gets my back up!

I do realise that this post is a little ridiculous. (more sober now)

Anyone can do whatever they want with their own money and I do realise that sky have no right whatsoever to eliminate a player from a tourament that they have paid to enter.(except for abuse maybe)

I only posted it ( after having maybe a few too many ) when I played what might have been my
sixth sit and go of 2011 and I think that most of these have had one sitting out. Anyway, thanks everyone for your response, have a HAPPY NEW YEAR and good luck in 2012.
