Thanks Alan, players are NOT pre-registered by Sky Poker, & do NOT have to Opt In.
Apart from that, I was 100% correct........
I've edited my post & your quote of my post to avoid further confusion.
Right, I'm off to the Old People's Home to lie down for a while & clear my head.
I have just bubbled my second Quarter-Final RTM tournament. I have noticed there is only 59 places in next Sunday's Semi Final (25 places filled after tonight). However, and without trying to get into the whole sats for cash debate, a couple of players were already in this Semi so got the cash equivalent rather than the seat. So my question is will the semi be 'filled' or will Sky allow it to run short on entrants?
Genuine question btw, not trying to stir trouble.
The semi-final is capped at 59 runners as there are only 5 seats available to RtM, as the Live Final is capped at 40 runners and 35 seats have been allocated in various other promos. (£750 seat value, satellite semi-final direct entry fee £75 + £7.50, 1 in 10 win a seat up to 5 seats). So it has to be capped at 59.
The semi-final will presumably run no matter how many it falls short of covering.
However, it is the answer which says the Semi- Final will run short that intrigues me somewhat. So players already qualified can keep playing Quarter Finals(and if they qualify again) will in turn increase their chances in the Semi Final (less runners). In my book, that is not really a level playing field.
I best hope I get lucky in the raffle draw then....
