    If that doesn't spur on the rest of the batters to up their own performances then nothing will.

    great knock by ben and the 2 joes did their bit now is the time england selectors need 2 growapair and get the batting lineup sorted before old trafford,u cant keep being 10fore 2 give roy a rest and make a quick call 2 mrcook,stop picking a fantastic match winning batsman and then hiding him at 7 buttler.
    anderson if fit back 4 woakes who clearly is not either that or root dosnt trust him 2 bowl.

    Jack Leach's contribution even though he only got the 1 run was also immense,imagine the pressure he was under every time he faced a ball,not wanting to be the one who got out and cost us the chance of winning. I think Roy should be dropped down the order,so at least when he does come in,there should be a few runs on the board and the pressure is off him a little bit.
