Even a min bet on flop is far too small. It achieves nothing. Such a great board for AA, depending on opponent I'd be betting 300 on flop and even more if it was against a stn. Bigger again on turn. I'd need reliable reads that the oppo nearly always tries to push people off a hand post flop before I'd consider trying to induce. You missed so much value.
In theory if your going to play an sb limp strategy, when you limp 3bet you should be going huge with a polarised range, but this is more of a thing at high levels/ especially in mtt's with antes where your more incentivised to play a wider range preflop. (more chips out there to win)
In reality at low stakes people think they're being extremely clever and deceptive by playing aces as a limp raise yet its the only hand they ever do this with so you've made your hand so much more obvious than if you just raised normal with a wider range. **** this guy probably played it so passively because he's seen people do what you did with exactly Aces so often and has owned you pretty hard. If you raise normal he likely raises back and you shove and stack him. Just 3x hands you want to play from the sb. Vs very weak passive villains you can limp junk as an exploit and minbet lots of flops.
As played with his little 'sweetener' raise; which for a lot of weak players tends to be a lot of above average but not premium hands like QT QJ KQ, 66 KJ, he probably has a fair chunk of Qx and isn't going anywhere for one street with hands like 88. 600 flop, half pottish turn shove river or something. In poker you should MAINLY bet when you have a strong hand, whilst mixing in some strong checks a SMALL amount of the time so your range isn't too weak. This rings true even more at low stakes where players tend to put in more chips as the caller than the aggressor and are much more reluctant to fold when they have hit regardless of how much you bet. You should already be thinking on the flop what sizes you want to bet to get your stack in and double up vs Qx. Instead you've tried to get deceptive again as you did preflop, but have already given the game away with your small limp raise. Turn might as well be a check when your betting 12.5% pot. River is about the only street that is okay as played.
If I was playing this hand at low stakes I would do something like 3x pre, 450 into 600 flop. 1.2K into 1.5k turn, shove river.
It's okay to butcher hands, we've all been there. It's having a willingness to take on-board advice and open yourself up to being criticised that will help you improve at the game and make more money/ lose less.
