Who won what on Monday 11th May

Morning.

With Mini UKOPS now in the rear-view mirror, I hope I can get back to reporting the regular featured MTT's a little better now.

Yesterday was always going to be an interesting day for online poker. "Live" sport re-emerged in the form of horse racing from France. For those yearning to have a bet, there was a positive feast of opportunities. Even if we ignore horse racing from the USA, Hong Kong, South Africa, Australia etc, in France alone there were 4 Meetings & 39 races, with an average field size of 15 runners. And every race was covered live on TV. So I was quite interested to see what effect this might have on MTT numbers at Sky Poker.

So here's last night's feature MTT's, & their prize pools, with last week's number in brackets. I've left the Mini out, as there is no direct comparison, due to Mini UKOPS.

£3,000 BH @ 7pm £4,500 (£3,250)

£1,000 BH @ 7.30pm £1,460 (£1,420)

£10,000 Marksman Main £14,670 (£14,670)

£2,000 Mega Stack £2,420 (£2,180)

£3,000 Sheriff £4,350 (£3,050)

£3,000 Turbo BH £3,690 (£3,000)

£1,500 Quickdraw £1,850 (£1,550)

£1,500 Mid Ex £2,320 (£2,540)

So in fact last night was actually better than last week, with 7 of the 8 featured MTT's recording better numbers last night. The exception was the Main, which, remarkably, had identical numbers both weeks.

So, overall, it was encouraging to see there was not a mass exodus of boomlet players back to Sports Betting. Sorry Sky Bet, but we plan to keep them here a little longer. My notes of course refer to MTT's only, I have no idea how Cash & SNG's performed.

Finally - & apologies for my geeky OCD-ness as to numbers, but the Marksman Main must be the most consistent performer on Sky Poker. Here's it's Prize Pools for the last 4 weeks, working backwards from last night;

£14,670

£14,670

£14,460

£14,520

Isn't that fascinating? (Chorus of *No, but you are a saddo*).

So there, I've got that off my chest, & I doubt a single person is in the slightest interested, with the exception of boring accountants.

    £10,000 Marksman Main (£14,670)

    nnm83 is on something of a roll, with wins in successive nights, Sunday it was the £3,000 Turbo & then last night's Main. He won that £3,000 Turbo a few weeks ago, too.

    Solack just keeps on grinding out results, 2nd in Friday's Big Weekend BH & then 2nd in this. He's such a pain to play against, don't think I've ever seen him fold pre-flop.

    £3,000 Mini Marksman (£3,685)

    Once again, Sharky failed to register results from the Mini, which seems to be a recurring theme. I'm really not sure why that would be.

    Anyway, bustout44, who won Mini UKOPS 16 last week for £518, added a near identical £522 in taking this one down last night.

    Great to see a few Forum & Daily Comp regulars in the mix, with hugomuck in 6th & mumsie, who had a challenging Mini UKOPS, 7th.

    @bustout44 1474000 1 £432.99 + £89.43 Head Prizes 8

    @donkgb 0 2 £231.23 + £51.85 Head Prizes 10

    @smudge184 0 3 £138.19 + £30.70 Head Prizes 8

    @celcie77 0 4 £112.39 + £34.13 Head Prizes 12

    @Keithvaz 0 5 £92.12 + £34.69 Head Prizes 10

    £2,000 Mega Stack (£2,420)

    chrisdboy, 6th in the Main, came up trumps this time, from the worrying threat of runner-up whitters95.

    In 3rd was The--Don, & we have so many "Dons" that I don't know which one this was. Anyone remember the Scottish lad "The Don" who used to post a lot here back in the day, Dohhhhhhh used to have some sport with him? Think his uncle was a very decent "live" player, Willie Somebody was his name iirc.

    Unbelievable. I'm now 100% sure that Boring Bloke does this to irritate me. It works, too. Well done Matt. I suppose.

    £3,000 Turbo (£3,690)

    Here's a weird stat - in winning this, heddoh18 was winning his THIRD £3,000 BH here in 4 nights - 2 on Friday & then this one last night. Guitar Bloke also reported he ran 3rd in a 15,000 runner SCOOP thing over on 'Stars on Friday too. Remarkable stuff. Doubt anyone here has ever won 3 x £3,000 BH's in in 4 nights before.

    I can't tell you much about either the 1st or 2nd, both are new names on me.

    Of course we all know a lot about Tim Tim Timmy in 3rd, but perhaps the less said the better.

    Hi tikay,

    Had a we shout you mentioned me from Matt bates. Im still around from time to time and enjoy a game but haven't really posted a whole lot due to being in and out of the game. Stepped away to address my mental health which clearly wasn't where It needed to be. Much more on top of that now but with 4 kids and other commitments (local pool league and my YouTube channel) I've found poker time much harder to come by. So tend to only do it when in good health and environment isn't overly stressful.

    I do often wonder how yourself and other amazing people I've met through sky poker are doing and really miss the spt travels. The 6 Max at Nottingham probably one of the best live environments and tournaments I've played in. Was fantastically run and near impossible to find a 6 Max live game before or after.

    Willie I believe (last I heard was before lockdown) has one of those behind the scenes jobs at that major poker site now hense him not playing much live as he's usually there dealing with other stuff. He was telling me about getting to look after Ronaldo amougst others for his job last year. Incredible to think how much this industry offers.

    I hope your keeping well. And thank you for the support you and others offered me during my time on the site at a time when I didn't have much support outwith.

    Ha, @The_Don90 how wonderful to hear from you.

    I sometimes throw these little things in the Results Thread to see if I get a bite, & I'm very grateful to The Bates for passing it on.

    I never knew Willie worked for 'Stars - in fact it seems we both work for the same Business now, though these days we officially work for Flutter (Paddy Power/Betfair/Stars?SB&G). Who'd have ever thought?

    4 kids? Blimey, you've been a busy lad. Delighted for you.

    Really proud that you had the good sense to step away when you clearly needed to. That's a very brave thing to do, well done.

    You used to have a lot of bants with Dohhhhhhh. We don't see him here much these days but he's still around. He used to smash up the 2p 4p cash tables, but I noticed he played a bunch of Russian Roulettes yesterday, which seems most unlike him. If you happen to speak with him, give him my warm regards please.

    Really made my day that you responded. Look after yourself my friend, & remember you have a ton of mates here who all think of you fondly, so don't be a stranger.
