Who won what on Saturday 16th May

Morning.

As usual, Saturday night was somewhat subdued - it's not a great night for Online Poker by a long chalk - and numbers came in slightly down w-o-w, with only Mega Stack & the £3,000 Turbo performing better. The 7pm £3,000 BH actually missed by 7 entries (£350).

Meanwhile, the £10,000 Big Weekend BH did that "same as last week" trick, coming in at an identical £12,200. Sharpshooter Main looked to be struggling, but eventually got there with about 4% to spare.

£3,000 BH @ 7pm £3,000

£1,000 BH @ 7.30pm £1,520

£10,000 Big Weekend BH £12,200

£15,000 Sharpshooter £15,630

£4,000 Sharpshooter Mini £4,840

£2,000 Mega Stack £2,820

£3,000 Sheriff £3,200

£3,000 Turbo BH £3,690

£1,500 Quickdraw £2,200

£1,500 Mid Ex £2,880

    £3,000 Bounty Hunter (£3,000)

    Naughty step for this one which missed guarantee by 7 entries.

    viscione05 - an alias that sounds like a Mafia boss - took this for what appears to be his best ever result on Sky Poker.

    I imagine runner-up skully644 did not know whether to laugh or cry - this was the 2nd straight week he has finished 2nd in this MTT.

    @viscione05 265000 1 £619.75 + £283.77 Head Prizes 5

    A 2nd win in 3 nights for Palace Bloke who added the Big Weekend BH to the £3,000 BH he won on Thursday.

    Runner-up FuzzyDare ran 5th in the Sunday Major for £1,700 a fortnight ago & had played just 3 MTT's in the interim before picking up another £1,380 here.

    1317 is achieving some decent results, £1,100 here edging the £800 he took for 5th in Avenger Main two weeks ago.

    £4,000 Mini Sharpshooter (£4,840)

    An excellent evening for RogueCell, winning the Mini for £700, then coming 2nd in the Reload for £230. RogueCell was runner-up in the 2013 SPT at Broadway Birmingham to @jac35, although business was done & they actually chopped it. The outright win would have made her the only female winner of an SPT.

    If you fancy going down Memory Lane, here's a write up of that SPT, including a photo of a very young-looking jac35.

    HERE

    2nd was scullion, with Gigitygoon, a Quagmire fan I assume, in 3rd.

    @RogueCell 9680000 1 £568.70 + £130.75 Head Prizes 16

    @scullion10 0 2 £303.71 + £56.27 Head Prizes 10

    £2,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£2,820)

    Hod4k997 bounced back to form, we've seen very little of him since his excellent Easter UKOPS in which he was 2nd in UKOPS 06 for £620 & won UKOPS 55 for £1,230.

    Runner-up lyonsbob06 is running into form too, he was 5th in Friday's £3,000 BH.

    You read it here first. Just 3 days ago I wrote;

    "newdaddy is proving to be a streaky player. He had a hot spell in December, winning Hitman & Avenger in successive nights for a combined £3,200, then ran 5th in UKOPS 08 for £900, since when he's gone fairly quiet."

    And so it proved, with him winning again last night for the 2nd time in 5 days.

    £1,500 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£2,880)

    It's often the case in poker than inexplicable things happen. "How could you call?" springs to mind when some optimist with no hand no draw calls & miraculously gets there, or a proven numpty somehow wins a decent MTT, after which everyone arches an eyebrow & asks "how?".

    Of course, any similarity between that & last night's Midnight Express winner is purely intentional.

    PS - well done James. How did that happen?

    Yes, I would imagine James is always very welcome at a PLO table.

    Thanks for the erm, kind words @Tikay10 . As you can imagine, despite running awfully, I played extremely well.

    Thanks @Sunday8pm. Always nice to share a table with you too. Although cant help feel this is an extravagant bum hunt.
