Goodness me, what a night, Sky Poker got a proper black eye. The boomlet peaked 2 months ago, since when numbers have been declining, but in a gentle & gracious manner, & it has not been necessary to cut any of the enhanced guarantees of the featured MTT's. Suddenly, last night, the wheels well & truly came off, with BWBH (Big Weekend BH) missing by £2,420. That's the first time it's ever missed. Worse was to follow, as Sharpshooter Main came up £3,420 short. There were trivial misses for the £3,000 BH, Mini, Sheriff & Turbo too. Excuses? Well we can all make excuses, & with wonderful weather for most of us, & more & more live sport on TV, I don't suppose expectations for Online Poker were great last night. Even so, I doubt anyone foresaw a set of numbers like that.
Tonight is a big night, with a £10,000 BH & the £20,000 Major, so let's hope we see a bounce tonight.

The winner played a game or two here back in 2015 without troubling the judges, then disappeared for 5 years, returning in April of this year, and this was his 3rd featured MTT win since then, 2 x Sheriff & now the £3,000 BH.
His victory denied StayOrGo another triumph, though £490 was handsome consolation.
manosalex, with 3 big wins to his name in the last 10 days, was 6th.

Not much I can tell you about the winner that you don't already know, but it's always good to see him do well as he goes about his poker quietly, & despite the huge MTT volume he puts in I've yet to hear him bellyaching about a bad beat. As a general rule of course, good winning players never waste their energy complaining about bad beats.ApolloCree is making quite a mark at Sky Poker, & made a featured final for the 2nd successive night having run 6th in Friday's Avenger.

Special mention for Nicky @Tsaaaar here. After those nasty site issues a week ago, CC fell below their normal high standards & never looked after the refund process as well as they might for Nicky, & so came on the Forum & had a perfectly justified & very polite little chunter. It then got sorted, albeit belatedly. Quite a surprise then to see Nicky come back on the Forum & offer to donate their compensation to a charity of Sky Poker's choosing. That was a bit awkward administratively, so in the end Nicky made a donation to another & equally meritorious charity.
