Who won what, Tuesday 28th July

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 163,288

A very good morning.

Excellent numbers last night, a full house in fact, with everything covering nicely. The star turn was the £8,000 Summit which came up one entry shy of £10,000. More of the same would do nicely.

£1,000 BH £1,320

£8,000 Gold Rush Main £9,060

£3,000 Gold Rush Mini £3,305

£1,500 Mega £1,540

£8,000 Summit £9,900

£2,000 Turbo £2,640

£1,500 Quickdraw £2,050

£1,500 Mid Ex £1,640

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,320)

How about this for a C & D specialist? - Bleurgh was winning this one for the 4th time in 2 months. There can't be many headline MTT's which have been won 4 times in 2 months by the same player, can there? Well done Mr B.

Not an easy FT either, with plenty of Sky Poker's finest in the mix.

    £8,000 Gold Rush (£9,060)

This was a monsta result for GOLFMAN. On Sunday he earned £1 in the Elim Fr, on Monday he won a tenner DYM, & last night he holed out in the Main for almost £1,700. How's that for an eclectic mix?

Runner-up CadleyX got in via a £24 satellite, so that worked out well.

3rd was gregkdy82, & this was interesting. He's one of the best DYM-ers on Sky Poker, Top Ten according to Sharky, 90% of his volume is in DYM's, but over half his profit comes from MTT's. Notable results include 1st & 3rd in Sunday Major in December & March for a combined total of £6,200. I'm a big fan of DYM's & happened to find them very interesting when I used to play them, but playing a tenner DYM must seem dull compared to binking 4 figure MTT scores.

Another interesting score, as Bobnlin was winning the Mini for the 2nd time this month, & also won BWBH last month. Winning the Mini twice in a few weeks is not unique but it is a real rarity. Well done Bob. Or Lin.

    £1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,540)

BEAMER's best score since running 3rd in Predator Main just before the boomlet.

Runner-up soldierCAB is on a streak, on Monday he was 2nd in the £1k BH & 3rd in Quickdraw, and last night got 2nd in Mega.

5th was Doooobs, more on whom shortly.

In 6th was Thurpan_ who had a great week last week with a win & 2 other FT's.

    £8,000 Summit Bounty Hunter (£9,900)

    After Doooobs ran 4th in Quickdraw last Tuesday, I wrote;

"In 4th was Doooobs, who won this earlier in the month but has been fairly quite since by his standards. What price he Finals this week's Sunday Major now he's back in form?"

Well just to spite me he never even played Sunday's Major, but instead showed up last night & took down Summit. He makes an amazing amount of money from a really small sample size, & he's well handy "live" too. He also happens to be one of the best sports bettors I know, & I happen to know a lot of very good punters, believe me. He has his own way of thinking, be it poker or punting, everything he does is logic driven. I prefer to keep my close friends to a minimum, but he's amongst them, a very special guy who I admire greatly.

gaming123 seems to get better as the night goes on, he won Mid Ex last week & last night it was the turn of the 10pm Turbo.

WOW1tsANDY only returned a week or so ago from a 6 month sabbatical, but has quickly found his stride, with a 1st & 3rd in Sheriff, a 5th in Sharpshooter, & now 4th in the Turbo. Plenty more big wins can be expected.

Jessieak was 2nd in Friday's Avenger Main for a bag & change, & added another £600 to his kitty last night.

In 7th was tonyp142, who posted some really good HA stuff on the Forum recently. He has hit a bit of a downswing of late, hopefully the variance tide is about to turn for him.

I noticed @goldon ran 8th (of 874) & picked up £20. Don't want to sound condescending or patronising, but that's a pretty big deal for the old fella & I'm really pleased for him. His sense of humour is not everyone's cup of tea, & like all elderly folks he can be a bit annoying at times - jeez, I'm dreading getting old - but his heart is in the right place. Well done Don.

I did read your comment on the Sunday major, and knew it was a terrible bet as I knew I wouldn't be playing. This very much makes up for it. You'll be pleased to hear I didn't need any rebuys this time either, so the guarantee was covered without my help this time (though maybe my presence led to a few others playing?)

Had a surprise result in the 1.45 at Goodwood. I was pretty sure I had decided not to back the winner, but was pleased I had got the secomd place at a decent price each way. I checked my account later and discovered I hadn't cancelled the winning bet either. Ascot was a disaster, but clawed most of it back.

Might even play a WSOP event now, but Daniel was telling me the software is a bit ropey on GG, missing turns would never happen on Sky

Cheers for all the kind words, hope you are well Tony. I went to see my mum for the first time in half a year at the weekend, so things are getting better at this end.
