Who won what, Wednesday 26th August

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 160,083

Morning.

I only just realised that it's August Bank Holiday this weekend, so most folks don't have to go to work on Monday. Bit weird really, with so many WFH, & financially a bit stuck due to COVID. If I were in charge of these things I think I'd cancel it, I'm not sure what purpose it serves right now, & one way & another, it costs us money.

The big news story in the coming days will surely be the catastrophic storm that is about to engulf Southern USA. The only hope is the storm abates quickly. It's looking pretty dreadful at the moment.

In lesser matters, MTT traffic here was meh again last night. Everything was there or thereabouts, there were a few missed but most were small. The Mini got the dunce badge, missing by 32 entries.

£1,000 BH £1,000

£8,000 Predator Main £8,000

£2,000 Predator Mini £2,000

£1,000 Mega £1,240

£2,500 Sheriff £2,500

£2,000 Turbo £2,130

£1,500 Quickdraw £1,550

£1,500 Mid Ex £1,500

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,000)

    OldTimer99, with 2 years of MTT's here, is nicely profitable, & has twice finished 3rd in Mega Stack this month. This might be his one of his best results so far.

    The FT included the likes of The Bates & StayOrGo.

    @OldTimer99 141000 1 £196.10 + £96.68 Head Prizes 5

    @Browny27 0 2 £116.60 + £72.61 Head Prizes 6

    Another day, another win for Lord Crush. I've run out of things to say, except I'm pretty sure he's never limped UTG from a 10 Bigs stack with 9-8 in his life. If Sharky is correct, he's the most profitable MTT-er on Sky Poker in 2020, & if he holds on to that spot it'll be the third time in 4 years he's been MTT top dog. It's all luck, obv, he's just a favoured player & certainly sits top right.

    Runner-up sahaMYson ran 3rd in Sheriff recently.

    It must have been a Final Table Jackpot sweat for jonnyrkd, 3rd in the Main & 13th in the Mini. Most of his play (90%) is in DYM's where he's a bit of a beast. I'm very much an Omaha player but I spent a mercifully short period playing £20 & £30 NLH DYM's against him & the serious DYM boys. He took my pants down with monotonous regularity, but did so with much grace. ****.

    @loololollo 1305000 1 £1097.23 + £130.34 Head Prizes 3

    £2,000 Mini Predator (£2,000)

    HYPETING was playing his first MTT for 5 months & only the 7th this year & had the cheek to win the Mini. Outrageous.

    6th was Allan23, who did a bit of Twitch streaming last month, which was very well-received, though it stopped after a short period, not sure why. I don't have a way of measuring these things, but he might be amongst the best players on this site at the £5 ABI levels. He makes serious money at an eye-watering ROI.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,240)

    The strangely-aliased ufud is going along very nicely indeed. Lots of FT's, won both Turbo & Mega in July, with his best recent cash being 2nd in the Sunday Major during the Boomlet for £3,400.

    Magic Timmy won this, so must have got lucky, with neenio 3rd. In 5th was Bellendio, & you need to be pretty brave to use that alias.

    SPT Online Semi (25 entries)

    Both tsarina & Groggy were winning SPT Online seats (or cash equivalent) for the 2nd night running, & I'm fairly sure tsarina has won three now.

    £1,000 Rewards Freeroll (743 entries)

    I noticed MML regular @TVSpice ran 14th of 743 for £20. It's hard to write these things without coming across as condescending, but for a small stakes player with extremely disciplined bankroll management a £20 bink in a freeroll is a big deal in several ways. For many people who allocate £x per month to spend on poker, £20 can make a huge difference. Can't be bad for self-esteem & confidence to run Top 20 in a 743 runner affair either. @StayorGo will be pleased, too, as Spicey is in one of Graham's "Learn Better Poker" thingies.

    @Corkymcgo 1486000 1 £100

    @bigballoo 0 2 £60

    @2Geronimo 0 3 £60

    @STAYORDRAW 0 4 £40

    @Kane79 0 5 £40

    They are on a longer than thought hiatus - it's felt like 2 weeks since my last one but apparently its been over a month. Life eh...
