Who won what, Tuesday 8th September

Morning.

Before we get started, & in case you missed it, this popped up on yesterdays Results Thread thanks to @Duesenberg

"I also want to give a special shout out to Midnight Express winner @gaming123. When HU his opponent disconnected for a fair old while and gaming123 max time-banked every spot and checked down every single flop uncontested until his opponents eventual return. First class stuff of which the great Mike Sexton would have been proud."

Isn't that terrific? In football, the players show no shame in trying to cheat at every opportunity. In golf & snooker it's the complete opposite. I know which I prefer. Big up to @gaming123

On to last night now, & the winter nights can't come soon enough for Sky Poker. Between them, last night's Main & Summit dropped £2,300. This is just not sustainable. I don't make any decisions or have much sway round here but I'll be seriously surprised if Guarantees do not drop very soon. Once the weather gets bad & the dark nights get longer, they can go back up but I just can't see the justification for holding them at current levels.

OK, with that out of the way, on we go.

£1,000 BH £1,020

£8,000 Gold Rush Main £8,000

£2,500 Gold Rush Mini £2,620

£1,000 Mega £1,300

£8,000 Summit £8,000

£2,000 Turbo £2,340

£1,500 Quickdraw £1,500

£1,000 Mid Ex £1,300

    Jessieak took the win, ahead of three "M'"s in miniman88, Morris707 & dear old MacMonster. I'm allowed to call him "old" as he is. Can still hold his own with the young guns though.

    £8,000 Gold Rush (£8,000)

    Well would you believe it? Just 24 hours after collecting a £750 Sky Poker Final Table Jackpot for finishing 3rd in the Main & 2nd in the Mini, splashies went & won the Main. If only he'd won it a day earlier. He's always had a great Sharky graph, but it's gone near-vertical now.

    In 6th was chrisdboy, who blew away the opposition in fine style in the SPT Online over the weekend.

    @splashies 2270000 1 £1240.65 + £302.65 Head Prizes 8

    @telstar1 0 2 £748.99 + £73.17 Head Prizes 4

    £2,500 Mini Gold Rush (£2,620)

    The Mini went to THETANK. For those who struggle with their memory - count me in - he was amongst the most profitable MTT'ers here on Sky Poker all the way back in 2008. And who topped that list in 2008? Nutter5932, who is still here to this day. For all the faults Sky Poker has - & it's has plenty - it's customers are amazingly loyal.

    It's a rare night when skyflyer does not feature at least once. I wish I could tell you a bit about him but like Manuel I know nothing. Luckily, like Socrates, I know that I know nothing, which is good to know.

    The phenomenal run of form by Shrimpy28 continues, this was his 6th headline MTT final in 5 nights.

    It's very rare that a cover version is better than the original, doubly so when the original was by the Beatles.

    Jeff Beck shows how it's done.

    Big hats off to @gaming123 for that incredible sportsmanship, top man hopefully karma rewards you, in response to @Tikay10 thinking this might be my 1st win out of the 7 FT's ... its my 2nd i managed to luckbox the MidEx in amongst this run.
    I don't even apologise about the shameful brag, im riding the wave and enjoying it before returning to the slums of mediocrity!

    @Tikay10

    Maybe it's just me but perhaps the tourney schedule could do with a review/overhaul. I don't have the bankroll to play most of the mains but with Mon, Wed & Thurs being the same main tourney and Tues & Sat also, surely a bit more variety and new ideas would help a little bit. Numbers are always going to be a challenge at this time of the year but can't Sky be a bit more proactive and introduce some different formats for the schedule? From my perspective, the currently schedule is very repetitive.
