Morning.

Did you see the thread that Dog Bloke started about poker coaching? It got wonderfully sidetracked, & ended up as one of the most fascinating threads we've seen here in a very long time. Have a read, it tells us so much about poker & poker players. Fascinating stuff. Have a gander, it's...

HERE

Back at base, the site was a little busier last night, though I'm unsure why. Sky James tells me that Thursday;s are usually a decent night. Everything covered bar Sheriff, which missed by a pittance. Let's hope it carries on over the weekend.

I had a text from Richard Orford this morning. Such a lovely man, & amazingly talented. I miss working with him so much.

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,220)

    braapman06 seems to be new around these parts but he's certainly making his mark. He won £1,000 BH at 5pm before taking this one a few hours later. Was 2nd in Mega a few nights earlier too. Fresh blood is good, as Dracula might say.

    2nd was skyflyer who cashes these things for fun, sadly I don't really know much about him. Same with Monty15 (4th). Braycorp & Anjie both cashed too.

    @braapman06 183000 1 £183 + £140.38 Head Prizes 6

    £2,000 Mini Hitman (£2,140)

    The Bates won the Mini, which seems singularly appropriate.

    Donald (thisltedu) has been getting some coaching - a topical subject - & it shows in his results & Sharky graph. Another £200 here, & don't forget he won Sharpshooter Main last month for about £1,400. When players put some work into improving their game it's always great to see it pay off.

    sillymid, who final tabled SPT Manchester a while back iirc was 3rd, with a great performance by wynne1938 in 4th.

    @MattBates 856000 1 £267.50 + £60.75 Head Prizes 9

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,340)

    DONDAPA has been scoring a few nice results, this was his best, marginally beating what he won for running 6th in the £8,000 BH on the last day of August.

    In doing so he denied Shrimpy another win, which would have been his 3rd or 4th in the last week or so. Amazing run.

    £2,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,500)

    snoxx11 took Sheriff, exactly a day after running 5th in the same comp. He gets the C & D tag.

    Tough old FT, with the likes of Sharki0, The Bates, Lord Crush & fishhhh in attendance, though the last-named got zilch for his troubles.

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,300)

    Mid Ex went to spulding, almost a year to the day after he won Sheriff.

    That man Shrimpy was 3rd, & I've officially lost count of how many FT's he's made this month. Must be close to double figures.

    Who could possibly forget what happened this day 19 years ago? The world changed forever that day.

    The internet was accessed by "dial-up" in those days, & we spent the whole day trying to get on to the BBC News website, without success.

    We all ended up glued to rolling news coverage on the TV, barely able to believe what we were seeing. Within days USA had started a war & so began a whole new chapter. Our lives have never been the same since.

    Within days, the conspiracy theorists were on the case, which always seems to me to be a horrific insult to the families of those who lost their lives.

    @waller02 @Shrimpy28

    Good thinking Ryan, we'll go with that.

    I now know it's 11 headline MTT finals in 7 days. Amazing stuff.
