Who won what, Sunday 4th October

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 160,524

Morning.

What a strange day yesterday was, even if we ignore Trump's bizarre decision to go & wave at the crowd from a motor-car whilst hospitalised for COVID. (Allegedly). Sport captured most of the headlines here, with Enable well-beaten in the Arc, though that was clearly signalled in advance by the betting market & so nobody should have been surprised. It was Premier League football where the real fun and games were, & it reminded me of Boxing Day 1963 when our surprise-o-meters went off the scale.

Here at Sky Poker, it was sort of meh+, reasonable but not great numbers. The Major missed by some £500, but that apart, everything else was very similar to last Sunday.

£6,000 BH £7,260

£15,000 Sunday Major £15,000

£2,000 Mini Major £2,070

£1,000 Mega £1,360

£2,000 Sheriff £2,250

£1,500 Turbo £1,800

£1,000 Quickdraw £1,250

£1,000 Mid Ex £1,220

    £6,000 Bounty Hunter (£7,260)

    Mickey83 turns up now & then, wins big, then disappears for a week or so. He is certainly in the win big or go home category, with some cracking scores this year, including winning both Main & Summit, & 2nd in UKOPS 15 at Easter for over £5,000. He added another £1,340 here in winning the £6k BH. Very nice too.

    @grinddd 0 2 £581.89 + £210.63 Head Prizes 11

    @SwannLoL 0 3 £347.03 + £74.71 Head Prizes 5

    @Jamieb23 0 4 £272.98 + £76.39 Head Prizes 4

    @ITSQUADSY 0 5 £232.32 + £169.72 Head Prizes 8

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,220)

    This went to UKTKD who seems to have very little MTT history here.

    In 6th was PKRPar, who has had a whole string of cashes in the last week, the best of which was 7th in the Main for the best part of £300. I fancy a big win will go his way very soon.

    @UKTKD 183000 1 £183 + £130.80 Head Prizes 6

    @KIMMEY14 0 2 £122 + £99.02 Head Prizes 9

    @timesup13 0 3 £73.20 + £18.75 Head Prizes 2

    @wemjay 0 4 £61 + £11.25 Head Prizes 1

    @MZS 0 5 £48.80 + £35.63 Head Prizes 4

    A quick follow-on from your initial comment about Boxing Day 63 and loads of goals.

    "Grandstand" started on 11th October 1957, and the credits always showed Spurs coming off the pitch on that day, and a player talking to the Manager.

    11th October 1957 was the 1st match that Bill Nicholson was in charge at Spurs. We beat Everton 10-4.

    Danny Blanchflower was actually saying to his new Manager:-

    "I hope you don't expect that every f...ing week!"

    I've been playing on Sky properly since May-ish - I had absolutely no idea this forum existed! Enjoying the site a lot.

    Looks like a thriving community, nice to see some familiar screenames.

    @Grabben

    Hi bud,

    Well at least you've found us now, welcome aboard.

    Well done Sunday, won entry into the Major via a £22 satellite & ended up 6th for £795 - very nice. Your best result here if I'm not mistaken?

    What part of the world do you live, & what line of work are you in?

    Have a look around the Forum, all sorts of Free to Enter Comps which award MTT seats as prizes. Any questions, fire away, the lads here are a great bunch.

    @Tikay10

    Yeah best cash on here by a distance, was in the £22 for £5.20 too! Had to play super nitty on the bubble so was lucky to FT tbh.

    I'm in London working at the Horniman Museum in Community Engagement and Accessibility. Played a lot of poker as a student but really fell away from it after graduating, like a lot of people I rediscovered the bug during lockdown! What about yourself?

    Will check out the rest of the Forum, free to enter comps sounds good value.

    Cheers
