I recall playing in a midweek snooker league match one night, I was in my thirties & fancied myself as a bit handy.
My opponent polled up aged about 8, wearing a waistcoat, dicky bow & all the gear. I could not help but laugh, who did he think he was? I broke off, he cleared up, & that was that. As it happened, he turned out to be a budding Pro, his name was Anthony Hamilton.
Another week a kid turned up in a wheelchair, & had to use a rest for every shot due to his seated position & a dodgy arm. Same result.
Scarred me for life.

England losing to Norway was another cracker.
I did ok early on
We then played at Alfreton golf club, a shoddy place which bizarrely was 11 holes.
I, as the highest handicapper 6 , was off last.
My opponent was off 9 and had one arm.

I was playing off my 20 handicap at a local par 72 golf course.....
I completed the first 17 holes in 72 shots. My first three drives off the 18th went out of bounds, and I managed to take 13.
Shot 85, or 7 under par, and was gutted.
Ha, great shout, what a disaster that was. I vividly recall Peter Alliss going bonkers about his stupidity.
