    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,080)

    ally44 turns up most nights & plays exactly one MTT - this one. An 8th placed finish on Monday was encouraging, & he went all the way last night.

    OldTimer99 won a 281 runner £1,000 BH that kicked off at 6.30pm, then went on to run 3rd here.

    When - if? - MattBates gets back on his winning bike I think we'll throw a party. He's running horrendously, witness his exit in the SPT Online just when it looked like he might just run very deep. 5th place here, & I don't know the details but can well imagine it was another tale of woe. It's amazing how long downturns can last & is a real test of character.

    Two days after winning the Sunday Major for some £5,000, Makaka was 6th, and later in the evening was 7th in Summit.

    @ally44 162000 1 £199.80 + £80.69 Head Prizes 3

    @cmads96 0 2 £118.80 + £57.20 Head Prizes 4

    gamblegirl took the Main, & would have completed a spectacular Mini-Main double if he had not come up one spot shy in Monday's Mini. Even so, 2nd in Monday's Mini & winner of Tuesday's Main is a mean achievement.

    In 2nd was DivsDreams who later ran 2nd in MidEx.

    Crushy was third, while Doooobs, who has been running a bit thin the last few months, showed signs of a return to form with 4th here & 3rd in Quicky.

    £8,000 Summit Bounty Hunter (£9,200)

    GuyL2 took the biggest first prize of the night. He has now had 3 four-figure wins in 2021 - the Main twice in 3 nights in early January (£1,920 & £1.750) & now tops those with £2,100 for conquering Summit. He had a deep Day 2 run in SPT Online too. If he were a racehorse he'd be trained by john Gosden & entered in a bunch of Group races.

    Some FT it was too, with StayOrGo 2nd & Mr Channing 3rd.

    craig is becoming a fixture in big buy-in Finals, & was 4th, with Sky Poker veteran Jordz16, playing only his fifth MTT this year in 5th.

    Brunson's Super System, Sklansky's No Limit Hold Em Theory & Practice & The Mental Game of Poker are amongst the books that Irish Rose has probably never read. In fact I'd love to know what poker books she has read, because she seems to have her own way of playing & it serves her amazingly well. She threatened in SPT Online & has made several "Live" SPT Tables. Can't wait until the time that Live SPT's resume & we get to see Rose & Co again, she's a real Sky Poker treasure.

    @GuyL2 460000 1 £1334 + £765.45 Head Prizes 7

    @StayOrGo 0 2 £874 + £366.35 Head Prizes 5

    @NChanning 0 3 £540.50 + £84.38 Head Prizes 2

    @craigcu12 0 4 £437 + £140.63 Head Prizes 3

    @jordz16 0 5 £356.50 + £51.56 Head Prizes 1

    £2,000 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£2,000)

    pj_guzdz took this. For a moment I thought it was THE Misterpj, but it was not to be. What fun that would have been. Anyway, after running 3rd in Turbo on 30th December pj_guzdz mostly went AWOL before popping up with the Turbo triumph last night.

    He must have either played or run well to fend off the likes of Sharki0, miniman88, lolufold & Monday's POTD Blaiseee.

    £2,000 Quickdraw (£2,200)

    £1,500 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,540)

    Palace Bloke, with 2021 wins in Sheriff & Mega already under his belt, took MidEx.

    In 3rd was Swog who got 2021 off to a flyer, including a Mini win, but until this result had gone a bit flat the last week. I fancy he'll be back on the upswing very soon.

    @cpfc_2010 231000 1 £223.30 + £76.54 Head Prizes 2

    Instead of the usual music video, a little quiz for you today.

    Was the jockey "unseated" or did he deliberately jump off? Either way you'd be pretty miffed if you backed it.

    Surely that resulted in a very long ban? Looked very, very suss to me, but I know nothing about horse racing.

    I'd forgotten that race.

    Baker and Cotai Glory were unhurt. Cotai Glory's trainer Charlie Hills told Channel 4 afterwards: "The horse is fine, absolutely fine, and I am obviously a bit distraught that George didn't stay on - if he had managed another four strides, he would have been all right.

    "The horse is very quick, you can't take anything away from him. He has got his quirks but it's a hard nut to swallow. He's a good horse and we will live to fight another day.

    "It wasn't the saddle at all. The saddle didn't slip - Cotai Glory wasn't doing a lot in front there, lost his concentration and ducked to the right. It was nothing to do with the saddle."

    Baker said on coming back in: "Cotai Glory had the race won as far as I was concerned. Something must have caught his vision and he was definitely hanging to where he came out onto the track.

    "As he was hanging right, my saddle moved slightly around and that was it - I came off then. The saddle moved just slightly - when you are going that quick it moved that little bit and I am trying to keep him straight.

    "It is so annoying but just one of those things. I definitely wouldn't make a jump jockey!"

    The Doncaster stewards held an enquiry into the fall of George Baker, the rider of Cotai Glory, just before the winning line. They interviewed Baker and, having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the incident, the stewards found that the fall was caused by Cotai Glory hanging sharply right, causing the rider's saddle to slip slightly and unbalancing him. Being satisfied that no other horse or rider was involved, the stewards took no further action.

    Richard Hannon summed the situation up with his words of welcome to William Buick as the jockey rode Beacon into the winner's circle. "Better to be born lucky than rich," he said.

    Ummmm @Tikay10 - I'm afraid to admit this out loud but here goes......

    IrishRose has never read any of the above mentioned "bibles" - but I have actually bought a poker book!! Chris Moormans book of poker. I purchased it when it was released - but it's still sitting somewhere on the bookshelf. I'm embarrassed to say I got a bit bored after reading to page 5 or thereabouts so it's never been picked up since. I'm a bit useless when it comes to shorthand - ICM, Hijack, Under the Gun etc etc so I gave up. I will pick it up again sometime when the internet goes down, the tv is broken and **** freezes over. For now I just muddle through playing my favourite hands like 2,3 offsuit, pocket 2s (which I guess is an improvement?) and basically any cards that my "gut" says might be lucky at the time :blush: . Thank you for your kinds words as always - you're always much too nice to describe my play as what it actually is..........

    As kids, when a bunch of us got sent to the headmaster's study for allegedly misbehaving, our plan was always to get our stories straight & stick with them.
