Who won what, Sunday 14th February, including a stellar performance in the Major

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 161,321

Afternoon.

Valentine's Day should be banned, nothing good ever came of it. After some sparkling figures all week, especially Friday & Saturday, numbers were down significantly last night, with Mini Major, Quicky & MidEx all missing. The £6k BH & Sunday Major were also the lowest we've seen this year. Pretty sure this was down to Valentine's Day.

£700 7 @ 7 £1,288

£6,000 BH £8,070

£15,000 Sunday Major £17,400

£2,500 Mini Major £2,500

£1,500 Mega £1,740

£2,500 Sheriff £3,800

£1,500 Reload £2,022

£2,000 Turbo £2,070

£2,000 Quickdraw £2,000

£1,500 MidEx £1,500

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,288)

neenio took 7 @ 7 for the second time in 6 nights, and the third time this year. Add in a Reload, a MidEx and a £1k BH and that means he has 6 Featured MTT's to his credit this year. Think he must be the current 7 @ 7 King.

    £6,000 Bounty Hunter (£8,070)

Over £1,600 went to Richrash93 here, to add to the £2,350 he took for winning Avenger Main 10 days earlier.

Excellent result for Supernan in 2nd, following on from winning a £750 BH the previous night.

MrKey, who won Sharpy Main last month, looked like winning this with 2 tables left but it was not to be. GG, NH, WP etc.

    £15,000 Sunday Major (£17,400)

mnolan8317 won the Sunday Major for the 2nd time in 7 months, he also has a Summit win on his resume. Clearly a Group 1 runner.

Runner-up ApolloCree finalled a BWBH recently.

Super_Oli, 2nd in the Mini 2 days earlier, was 5th.

I must add a word or two about @aynaricol down in 12th. (£243.60). It's not every week we see a runner in the Sunday Major who had played 20 £0.28 DYM's the same day - now that IS an eclectic buy-in range, from £0.28 DYM's to the £110 Major. As it happens, they won the Major seat in a Freeroll, but things went badly wrong almost before it began last night, when they were the wrong side of the dreaded Kings v Aces match up in Level 1 & were left with exactly 390 chips. Against a quality field to recover so well & even pick up a cash was a fabulous performance by any standards. aynaricol normally works in France iirc, but Lockdown has put the kybosh on that.

Neil Channing played this, his only MTT of the night, & finished just a few spots off the money.

I can't imagine Buck4 has ever had a result like this, so very well done Mr Buck.

The in-form Palace Bloke was 4th, with crusty old ctbn 6th.

For the 2nd straight night it looked like The Bates had this sewn up two tables out but he came up short again.

    £2,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£3,800)

ufud took Sheriff. His main claim to fame - he probably has several - but in MTT's he won the Xmas UKOPS Main Event & picked up over £10,000.

RCord was one spot shy of his third win of the year.

In 3rd was gadgerno1, who was 2nd in the Sunday Major 3 weeks ago & a week earlier, 2nd in Avenger Main.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£2,022)

troggman is on a remarkable run. He generally plays just one MTT per day, usually a £1 or £2 affair, and in his last 7 MTT's he's finished 2/107, 8/64, 5/162, 7/62, 11/97, 5/93 & now 1/242. That's some run, WP the Troggster.

4th was sillymid who won a Mini last year & had a deep run in one of the "Live" SPT's.

    spearsy136 has won a few small buy-in MTT's recently, & was 6th here.

A fine result for trcyswise who must have done well to beat the very aggro M10Dembele.

    £2,000 Quickdraw (£2,000)

ozzieowen took Quicky, & narrowly missed a quick double when finishing 2nd in Mid Ex.

    Quite a FT this, with £6k BH winner Richrash93 2nd & Sunday Major winner mnolan8317 in 6th.

Playing, I think, just his 2nd ever MTT here, bimetank, presumably a student of The Reverend Spooner, took MidEx.

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter @ 17.30 (£1,540)

A bonus result today, as I'm keen to make the point "never give up". @NOSTRI went on a nasty downswing late last year and has been struggling to make up lost ground. Then, right out of the blue, he won over £1,000 in taking down Friday's Mini, then lightning struck twice & he won this last night. He actually made several small final tables last night. It just goes to show, a bit of run-good can turn a frog into a Prince, even if only temporarily. Arise, Prince NOSTRI.

thanks @Tikay10 , was a very tough last couple of tables which went on much longer than I hoped considering I had a 9am zoom meeting.

Got lucky when down to 3k in chips when I got A10 in for a quadruple up all in pre by winning with just 1 pair so probably should have been very different.

Difficult not to win the heads up when hitting the nuts or 2 pair pretty much every other hand.

Thank you very much @Tikay10 - really enjoyed myself and over the moon with a cash! :) And thank you for not pointing out that out of those 20 DYMs I probably lost about 17 of them :D

Well done to everyone else, and especially to @NOSTRI for the great run recently!
