played there the first time last night, absolutely fantastic venue, very very big inside, nice place. the tournament lineup is also very very good. i know you were interested in playing a tourny in sheffield dohhh, i advise going to the g-casino, out of this and napoleans this was definately the better place, and they have a few cash games that get up and running too. id be up for meeting you for a game one day when i get all this work done. same with dantb10 or anyone who lives near. pretty much city centre and close to the train station so you will find hotel bnb pretty close too. one thing bad i have to say was this one guy who is apparently a regular, he did nothing all night expect abuse the dealer saying he was s**t etc, felt like saying something, the dealer was taking it to heart aswell. but yeah, great addidition to the city of sheffield.

mondays - £5 unlimted rebuys for 90 mins
tuesdays - £20 freezout (£15 into the prizepool, £5 goes on your head)
wednesdays - £40 rebuy (1 rebuy) this was another £5 rebuy but got changed
thursdays - £25 double chance freezout
fridays - £15 unlimited rebuys (im guessing for 90 mins)
saturdays - £30 freezout i think, it was £40 rebuy (this will be getting alot of interest according to the manager)
sundays - £20 freezout (this is a very popular game apparently)

Where abouts is it Hursty?? - Exactly in Sheff? I now it pretty well, how wud I get there from the train station?

The hotel is a must for me, as driving is most certainly not an option, and Id need to win the tourny to break even on my bar bill.....

Wud be wierd meeting you, not exactly got on gr8 over the last month or so, but u have game at the table, n rekon our personalities clash, as do our styles - Id have had a word with that geezer having a go at the dealer btw - im amazed nobody didnt??

I like the look of the freezeouts......especially the double chance one on a thursday night, be a shame to get there, book a hotel, get going and bust early with no second chance, likewise it wudnt be much fun playing a shove-fest where u can rebuy at will.....

Where is it specifically? start from either Sheff Hall main campus (that dreaded hill) or the train station.....

Dohhhhhh, type "Duchess Road, Sheffield" into google maps, that'll do you.

G-Casino give the Postcode as "S2 4BG", but ignore that, it's wrong.

Duchess Road runs between Queens Road & St Marys Road.

its close to where the leadmill is, only a short walk, as you walk out the main entrance of the station you see the fountain thingy, to the left is some stairs, go up them, turn left and follow that road round and down, there should be a macdonalds at the end of that road, turn right when you get there and you cant miss, it, a short walk down that road and its there, you'll see the big g-casino sign as you turn right at macdonalds.

Have a mate from my uni days who lives in Stocksbridge - hes in the navy but returns next friday for a fortnight, he's the only real life person I know who is half decent at poker and takes it kinda seriously, so we're gonna get down for a few nights in that fortnight, starting with next sunday, the F/O tourny which starts at 5pm I think.

First train back to Doncaster from Sheffield is at 6am I believe - so no need for hotels if the casino is open (and more importantly, games are going) 24/7.

No name tags but I'l be the big guy with a bulmers (no ice) wearing an Alfie Moon shirt ;) haha - Lokng forward to it.
