Who won what, Friday 5th March - Shrimp gives them all a good pasting

A very good Saturday morning.

As you can see from the numbers below, MTT traffic was healthy last night, though for balance, they were at their lowest for a Friday night for around 2 months. Lockdown fatigue gets us all eventually.

Away from the humdrum traffic stats, it was an exciting night - very exciting.

£700 7 @ 7 £1,344

£8,000 BWBH £11,300

£10,000 Avenger Main £14,520

£5,000 Mini £6,625

£1,500 Mega £1,980

£2,500 Sheriff £3,500

£1,500 Reload £1,839

£2,000 Turbo £2,460

£2,000 Quicky £2,630

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,344)

    Dispatcher sent them all packing, probably a deserved win too as he was runner-up in this on 21st February.

    Really pleased to see @Telmison74 in the mix, he's a faithful Daily Forum Comp regular.

    In 4th was Trawlerman, enough to make a decent net profit.

    Ironpump1 was 5th in this & then repeated the trick in the Mini.

    @Dispatcher 384000 1 £181.44 + £79.40 Head Prizes 8

    @Telmison74 0 2 £109.54 + £63.75 Head Prizes 14

    @Emz78 0 3 £66.19 + £13.29 Head Prizes 4

    @Trawlerman 0 4 £52.08 + £13.29 Head Prizes 4

    @Ironpump1 0 5 £44.35 + £40.46 Head Prizes 10

    £8,000 Big Weekend Bounty Hunter (£11,300)

    A Tedson v Melty heads-up is always going to be a connoisseurs delight and so it proved, both are rated 90+ & are on a shortlist for best MTT-ers on the site.

    The jaw-dropper though was Shrimpy in third. £110 is 10 times higher than his normal ABI but he got there via winning a £24 satellite. Even a £24 satellite is more than twice his ABI so he was fishing in very deep waters here. He played great too, he got near-felted 3 handed then quickly played his way back to a solid stack only to suffer the ultimate nightmare - Kings into Aces. The thing was he really applied himself instead of messing around as he so often used to. Here's what I wrote about him only yesterday after he ran 4th in MidEx to start the day;

    "Good to see the @Shrimpy28 4th here. He's better than his results suggest but is more interested in having fun & willy waving sometimes. I sense he plans to get his head down & apply himself properly going forward, & I fully expect him to run up a series of decent scores"

    Well he soon ticked that box.

    @Tedson 565000 1 £1610.25 + £885.61 Head Prizes 9

    @chicknMelt 0 2 £1033.95 + £75 Head Prizes 2

    @Shrimpy28 0 3 £644.10 + £293.66 Head Prizes 5

    @harrypump 0 4 £522.62 + £287.84 Head Prizes 5

    @LewyH 0 5 £426.57 + £424.67 Head Prizes 8

    @Baboon26 0 6 £355.95 0

    £10,000 Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£14,520)

    And so we come to the biggest prize pool of the week, with the sole exception of the Sunday Major - & look who won it - our man Shrimpy. That's beyond extraordinary. 2021 has been a frustrating year for him, not made (or lost) a penny at the pokers & like so many of us, finding Lockdown a mental challenge. That all changed yesterday, he got news of a recall to work (he's in the catering/restaurant industry which re-opens soon), then he had that amazing BWBH bink of around £940 which is huge relative to his historical numbers.

    Finding themselves heads up were Danyo0 - winner of three Main Events in the last 3 weeks - & our newly-reformed Shrimpers. And it was as if it was in the stars, as Shrimpy got the job done for his biggest ever poker payday by a very long way. He's a family man with 4 kids so that's really useful money.

    A word about Danyo0 too, making his 4th Main Event win in three weeks. Extraordinary consistency.

    @Shrimpy28 1704000 1 £1887.60 + £615.43 Head Prizes 10

    @Danyo0 0 2 £1089 + £311.31 Head Prizes 10

    @neenio 0 3 £660.66 + £215.61 Head Prizes 8

    @RIVERBABY 0 4 £529.98 + £157.75 Head Prizes 4

    @elvisg1972 0 5 £450.12 + £159.59 Head Prizes 7

    @dcro 0 6 £370.26 + £206.86 Head Prizes 9

    It's for sights like this we so love MTT's;

    £5,000 Mini Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£6,625)

    Odd how these things go in streaks, but the Mini was another one that went to a popular sort, this time it was seikus.

    For the 2nd time in the session, Ironpump1 was 5th. Think he should change his alias to Ironpump5.

    @seikus 3224000 1 £795 + £198.33 Head Prizes 14

    £1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,980)

    Morris drove to the win here, he's an immensely likeable sort.

    And look who was 5th? How do these things happen? He got £90 for 5th, & would normally be celebrating that. Now it's chump change.

    Notice too that tomgoodun sneaked into 7th. Definitely a night for the good guys.

    £2,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£3,500)

    Good Lord, look at this for a tough FT. Ozzie eventually got the win but you could roll a dice to predict the winner here they are all well handy, though as we all know The Bates is well past his best.

    Less than 24 hours after his Turbo win, Mr Channing was back at a Final Table, 4th this time.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,839)

    DW1414 is enjoying a profitable 2021 & added Reload for his best score of the year, narrowly beating his Mini win in January.

    2nd was popular Twitcher (poker, not avian) PKRPar. He has one of the most switchback Sharky graphs you could ever wish to see. Weird PKRPar fact - since November he has finished 3rd in a Main Event FOUR times. He's also had a Main Event fifth. Time he won one I reckon.

    @DW1414 1703000 1 £243.67 + £84.02 Head Prizes 7

    LadyHaHa2 spends most of the time on the DYM streets and as far as I can see this was a MTT personal best. Presumably she wore her poker face.

    It really is a boost to the smaller players to see people like Shrimpy do so well in an evening.

    Congrats mate, was some show you put on there.
