Who won what, Monday 15th March

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 160,475

Morning.

I'm all behind today & have loads to do so today will be singularly brief.

Traffic was typically Monday, & as was the case all of last week (weekend excepted) the late night stuff performed poorly.

Cheltenham starts today. The fields are a bit meh, but even so it's hugely exciting, though less so without spectators. And if ITV Racing produce an "artificial crowd roar" I think I might just throw something at the TV.

£700 7 @ 7 £1,176

£1,000 BH £1,600

£8,000 Marksman £8,550

£2,000 Mini £2,125

£1,500 Mega £1,580

£2,500 Sheriff £2,500

£1,500 Reload £1,854

£2,000 Turbo £2,000

£2,000 Quicky £2,000

£1,500 MidEx £1,500

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,176)

Arcticsham, a freezeout specialist, took 7 @ 7, and completed a double early this morning when winning a 34 runner £50 Turbo BH.

The rail were rooting for PKRPar but the likeable Scot was always a little low on chips in the Final & could not quite find the 2XUp he needed.

At long last The Bates is returning to form, like a sleeping giant awakening, though he's not often referred to as a giant. He was winning this for the 2nd time in 6 nights & if his form continues he'll have a good UKOPS.

In 6th, blondie505 was making this Final for the third time inside a month.

    £8,000 Marksman Bounty Hunter (£8,550)

A second Main Event win in 4 nights for the 92 rated roddy28, Avenger on Friday for some £2,600, & now Marksman for £1580. That's Cheltenham paid for.

waller02, who is a bit of an Avenger specialist, with two recent finals (2nd & 4th) was runner-up, a very fine effort all things considered. His form improved dramatically a few weeks ago when he gave up drinking, but it was only a temporary improvement as he resumed drinking at about noon the following day. He has a side income these days helping poker players overcome anger management issues now that he's super zen.

Good to see Villa fan 68 Trebor making an appearance.

    £2,000 Mini Marksman (£2,125)

We have seen very little of liamboi11 this year & he had been AWOL for almost a week when showing up last night & taking down the Mini.

A few weeks ago the ever-lovable & chunky @shrimpy28, a James Corden lookalike if I ever saw one, had a wonderful night, winning Avenger, 3rd in BWBH & 4th in Midex. He returned to form here with 3rd in the Mini, money which I'm sure he will invest wisely at Cheltenham.

6th was HONEYBUSH, & so those who back "names" in horse races might have to bet Honeysuckle in the Unibet at Cheltenham today.

    £1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,580)

duncan1979 had some big scores last year, including a Sharpshooter win & 2nd in BWBH, but we've heard very little of him since.

    3rd was Duesenberg, aka One Plain, One Pearl, as he loves nitting. Nerd alert there for readers of knitting patterns. And if you want lessons on how to knit, this is how you knit plain stitch;

    Over, under, through, round.

True, check it out. Did not google it either.

This went to ribeiro66, his b4eat score since winning Sharpshooter Mini late last year.

The much-improved form of hendry01 continues to impress, two wins in 4 night recently, and a handful of FT's.

Poor old KLL-y, that's THREE consecutive Finals, finishing 4th, 5th & 5th. Later, he ran 3rd in MidEx too.

As I suggested at the top of the thread, I'm short of time today, so no write up on Midex today, though a momentary peruse suggests it was a weak renewal.

Thanks Tikay feels good to get POTD, waller did one of best laddering jobs I have ever seen in the marksman though.
