Who won what, Sunday 21st March - alancarr12 takes down the Major

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 160,616

Morning.

The Sunday Major hit a 3 week high, apart from which traffic was pretty much as expected I would have thought.

The 2 week International Break for football starts today. Does anyone, anywhere, enjoy all these worthless Internationals? Apart from FIFA, of course. I watch a lot of televised football, but I won't be watching any of these Internationals. Meh.

£1,500 Mega £1,580

This was the 2nd time darryn1973 has won this in the last 3 nights. He played it all 3 nights & finished 1st, 8th & 1st. He's gotta be the 7 @ 7 boss.

PokaBayb9 secured easily his best result in 3 years here though to be fair his volume is super thin. He won a Sheriff in January & a £500 BH on Thursday, but never anything of this magnitude.

    £15,000 Sunday Major (£18,000)

I would assume that everyone on Sky Poker is reasonably familiar with alancarr12, who regularly pops up in the biggest cash games here & enjoys duelling in £200 Heads Up Hypers. So a £5,000 bink here won't be a big deal to him, although I believe it's his biggest ever MTT result on Sky Poker.

With £2,80 going to 2nd, it was also a PB for MSDOS.

In the minor monies were some of the serious big time players, including ValueJL, PBKR, RUNITSRANN & HAYSIE.

    £2,500 Mini Major (£2,500)

The bookmakers would price up cabbaz fairly short for a Mini Major & he duly obliged. Later, he ran 3rd in Turbo & 4th in Quicky, & he also finalled two earlier BH's, so a really solid night for him, with 5 Final Tables in total.

In 7th was boggo, who is a terrific character who came to Vegas with us in 2017. He was a long-haul pilot with Cathay-Pacific at the time, so I fancy he's probably grounded at the moment. It's a bad time for many of us right now, but particularly so for the airline business.

    £1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,580)

IamAll_En won't want March to end, he's having a terrific run, with wins already in Sheriff, Quicky & Mega, and 3rd in a Sunday Major. The same might be said for AKAscotty, who is making final tables for fun this month.

DannyJP, who won a Sheriff last week, was runner-up.

Delighted to see NOSTRI make the final, even more so because he took FOUR heads, which is a record for him by some way I assume.

    @IamAll_En 790000 1 £229.10 + £220.78 Head Prizes 11

    £2,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,700)

The oddly-aliased PhattyToke has a bunch of Final Tables on his CV but this was his first victory as far as I can see.

2nd in Saturday's Turbo, Dooobs was 5th with yet another Final for IamAll_En.

Narrowly missing the final were The Bates & Mr Channing.

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,770)

The winner is shown as a "Medium Shark" on Sharky, though I've no idea what that means. He did win UKOPS01 at Xmas for over £2,000 so that's a clue.

    £2,000 Quickdraw (£2,000)

The winner has 10,000+ games to his credit & I doubt he's ever won anything this big, so well done him.

I was interested to note that nishg ran 5th without taking a single head prize. He was the only player last night who made a featured BH Final without taking a head prize, which is a very unusual stat, though of course not a patch on @NOSTRI who manages it with monotonous regularity.

Well done @cabbaz . I enjoyed playing on your table during the last 3 & 2 tables of the mini and was enjoying the challenge in BB against your button.

Had a bit of a disaster with the player to my left out of nowhere when 4th / 12 which I am kicking myself over, but you were dominating the table with your lead really well - not surprised you went on to win!
