The first person to correctly identify all 12 bands before midday on Tuesday will earn £10 for the charity of their choice. If nobody gets them all highest score wins.

ONLY 1 ENTRY PER PLAYER

GOOD LUCK

2, Snitch told of cleric to others

3, Indigenous maybe but not Celt

4, View through a prism maybe

5, Otherworldly transport, it's possible

6, Burried Lavender turns much darker

7, Music is current?, it's certainly powerful

8, Outlook for the Weekend, it's not bright

9, Bulging biceps on view through the flowers

10, A feline predator? Absolutely

11, Metal for virgins but is it fair

Some good clues there, makes me smile when I finally work them out. I think I've got 10 but then again may only be 4.

How could I mistake The Darkness for Black Sabbath, as I don't even class the former as a Rock Band. Number 2 was doing my head in but obvious when you see the answer. Number 10, I concentrated on 'absolutely' not the 'feline' clue. @TheEdge949 good quiz.

Tedson current leader but how many has he got?

I'll give you a clue its a pretty decent effort.

After I posted it became apparent that there could be more than 1possible answer for Questions 3, 4, 5, 10 and 11 still it will be interesting to see how minds work.

OK guys n girls we have a winner @Red_King is the first to correctly identify all 12 bands so it's very well done and if you could PM me with the name of your favourite charity, and any link you may have then £10 will be donated forthwith.

Thanks for playing and look out for the next one on Sunday 18th April when your knowledge of Punk / New Romantic bands could bag a tenner for your favorite good cause.

    Mark

Looking forward to this. It is clear you know your rock/metal, too.

So, by way of a taster:-

    1. What song originally by an English punk band was regularly covered by Metallica live?

PS-please no-one put a link up, or quote the words. It is quite possibly the most offensive song of all time. :)

So f****** What - Anti Nowhere League

Do you think Metallica had ever been to Hastings, Brighton or Eastbourne too? :)

I hate posting money online. So when there is an SPT, either come along and claim the £20 you deserve for your charity, or ask anyone you know to claim it on your behalf. I think you live close to @SidV79, who has a very appropriate name...

Metallica started life as a "covers band" and have scored success with ANL's S.F.W as well as Diamond Heads "Am I Evil", Thin Lizzy's "Whisky in the Jar" and Slayers "Angel of Death".

"Whiskey in the Jar". What a song. What a cover by Thin Lizzy. No-one knows how old it is, but it is at least 70 years old. It is like the Irish equivalent of House of the Rising Sun. Saw the Dubliners do it live many, many years ago.
