Who won what, Thursday 8th April.

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 161,268

Morning.

Before we start today's round up, in yesterday's Results Thread I wrote this about Wednesday's Main Event winner Starling17.

"This is a lovely story. As far as I can see, Starling17 has never won or even made the FT of a Featured MTT until last night, & has an ABI of about £4.50. It gets better though - he won his seat in a £1.20 "Frenzy" Satellite, and emerged several hours later clutching some £1,170. Isn't that just great?"

Reference to Mr Starling was also made on the Sky Poker Twitter feed, & the man himself responded....

What a great story.

    OK, yesterday's details.

Traffic, which was very poor on Tuesday, thanks to the post-UKOPS lull, has slowly picked up through the week.

Not sure how many were watching the Golf, but Justin Rose put on an absolute masterclass. 2 over after 7, he ended the day 7 under, having played the last 11 holes in 9 under. Wonderful stuff. He's not won it yet by a long chalk, but he's 4 clear and the rest of the field would swap positions with him in a heartbeat. He was 70/1 before the start, now he's around 7/2. The other notable feature of the day was the coverage by drone-mounted cameras, allowing us views of Augusta National we have never seen before. Absolutely superb.

    £700 7 @ 7 £1,078

    £1,000 BH £1,300

    £6,000 Hitman £7,080

    £1,500 Mini £2,010

    £1,500 Mega £1,540

    £2,000 Sheriff £2,300

    £1,500 Reload £1,530

    £1,500 Turbo £1,530

    £1,500 Quicky £1,860

    £1,000 MidEx £1,300

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,078)

Bravo mma420, winning 7 @ 7 for the 2nd time in just over a month. He had a nice bink on Wednesday too, running 2nd of 250 in a £1,000 BH for ~140. Got to love players on a heater.

2nd was waller02, who has now made more profit in the last 6 months than the previous 10 years here. Not sure how the improvement came about, but it might well be his ice-cool temperament when things don't go to plan.

In 5th was CaptHard, who only gets a namecheck thanks to his superb alias. I planned to post a suitable 'photo for him, but when I went to google Images & typed "CaptHard" all sorts of unsavoury stuff came up, though I'm sure some of our more adolescent types would love it.

Just 48 hours after finishing 2nd in the Mini, gac123 took the £1k BH.

Runner-up pl0b_ is really on the upgrade, with recent results including a Mega win, two Main Event Final tables & 5th in the Sunday Major. Prior to March he had no form at all, since when he seems to have improved rapidly. Most interesting.

    £6,000 Hitman Bounty Hunter (£7,080)

With two UKOPS FT's, miniman88 has shown glimpses of a return to form recently, & he confirmed that last night by winning the Main. Whether that made him happy is less certain, as he's an Arsenal fan & they had a terrible Europa League result last night.

Sharki0, many people's tip to do well in Easter UKOPS, was 2nd with M10Dembele 4th.

spearsy136 won free entry to the Mini only to come up dry, but he managed a very fine 5th here.

    @TomI3K 0 6 £194.70 + £60.29 Head Prizes 3

Down in 10th was IVIystical, aka young Sam, who has been the go-to guy for players who need technical help setting up their computers or Twitch streams. Quite by chance last night, THREE players decided to gift him free entry to the Main on a 50/50 basis. He does not get to play £33 events, so it was a big deal for him, & he ended up finishing 10th accompanied by a raucous rail. His putter-inner then said "keep the lot" just to put the icing on the cake. If that does not give you a Ready Brek glow nothing will. Earlier in the evening, on his own coin, he ran 2nd in a £200 BH. Nice things happen to nice people, they just do.

And the names of the players who were so keen to invest in him? That would be indelicate, but I'll give you some clues, hangman-stylee.

    £1,500 Mini Hitman (£2,010)

Mini winner pixx10 has not previously troubled these threads, so we can assume this was a more than welcome bink for him.

    3rd in a 7 @ 7 last week, Godsnuts ran 2nd here.

    £1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,540)

Natnug, 6th in Reload a couple of days ago, took this.

AMD68 was another who had a free entry to the Mini thanks to his MML exploits but came up dry. However, 2nd in the Mega more than made up for that.

    £2,000 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,300)

A blistering Sheriff FT, with the win eventually falling to railtard, ahead of The Bates & PBKR.

DESERTTURK is showing dramatically improved form. Just 2 weeks after winning Gold Rush Main he ran 2nd in Sheriff on Wednesday, then 5th last night. He must have been rampant last night, as there were just 36 entries & he somehow took TWELVE head prizes. Rara Mr Turk.

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,300)

Monty15 continues to do well, taking MidEx, with Main Event winner miniman in 4th.

After some sparkling results of late, Shrimpy has graduated to the Sharky "Most Profitable List" where he is clinging on in 30th place out of 30. One decent result would catapult him 5 or 10 places up the ladder though. Winning tonight's Avenger would do nicely for the cute little chubbster.
