Who won what, Tuesday 13th April - stunning 50 minute hat trick by neenio

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 159,988

Morning.

All things considered, MTT traffic was pretty much as expected last night, especially as Champions League football was on TV. All the featured MTT's except Mega Stack covered, and the overlay hunters ensured the Mega loss was not too bad.

I happened upon something about Euro 2020 yesterday. It's been delayed by 12 months due to COVID & will now be this Summer. The final stages will be hosted in 12 different countries, which will mean teams, their entourages, & of course fans travelling back & forth across the 12 countries. During this pandemic, that must be the daftest thing ever. And why? It's FIFA, so it's all about money, & greed. We have the Tokyo Olympics this summer too.

None of this makes sense to me, though I suppose the vested interests - FIFA, OOC & the bookmakers - think it's great. Meh.

£700 7 @ 7 £1,029

£1,000 BH £1,080

£6,000 Gold Rush £6,960

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,029)

showy seems to play either one MTT or a couple of DYM's early each evening & last night alighted on the 7 @ 7, which he then won. It's his first notable result for over 6 years. Delighted for him.

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,080)

This went to neenio - more about whom shortly.

GABIAGREEN won £30 in the Rewards Freeroll on Monday, & invested £20 of it in this, ending up 2nd for £150.

On Monday, splashies was 4th in the Main, & he occupied the same spot here. Nothing extravagant about splashies, but he just keeps GIQ & nicking a few bob week after week.

    £6,000 Gold Rush (£6,960)

This is beyond extraordinary. I'm sure most of you understand variance, & how it can throw up some oddities, but how about neenio last night?

    7.10pm, £1,000 BH. 1st of 100, £244.

    7.30pm, £1,000 BH. 1st of 54, £318.

    8pm, £6,000 Gold Rush, 1st of 183, £1,330

So he won THREE Bounty Hunters that kicked off within 50 minutes last night. If that's not a record, it ought to be. Very well done indeed. It's not his first Main Event win either, in the last 2 months he has won the Main twice & finished 3rd twice.

AdLAD, miniman & MrDirk all kept neenio honest as he strove to complete his hat-trick.

In 6th was pompeynic, who won his seat via the Daily Forum Comp & turned it into some £250. nice work Nick, not bad for a freebie.

markutd is a Reload specialist with several wins to his name, and returning after a three day absence he stepped up a gear last night & won the Mini.

2nd was Hoff92, who actually won the Gold Rush Main exactly a week earlier.

    £1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,500)

If you are a successful cash-game player, why would you subject yourself to the vagaries of MTT's? The--Don is exactly that, & even with time constraints imposed by his day job, he can probably grind out a few hundred quid on the cash tables week after week. So I'm not sure why he occasionally dips his toes into MTT's. Not many - just over 100 in 2021, so Sky Poker won't ever get rich off him. Perhaps he thinks he can do better at MTT's than cash? Not as daft as it sounds, this completed a hat-trick of Mega Stack victories in less than 2 months. His Sharky rating has improved too, he's now rated at just 1 point below @Shrimpy28. There, something for The--Don to aim for.

Bleurgh looked the likely winner heads up but The--Don has an imaginative opening & defending range, & maybe that just swung it.

Very fine effort in 5th too by AMD68, especially considering his age.

    £6,000 Summit Bounty Hunter (£6,800)

On Monday, railtard won the Turbo & was 2nd in Sheriff. Last night he completed a lovely 24 hour double by taking down Summit. In 3rd was Tedson, & these two beasts both have a ridic Sharky rating of 97. Us mere mortals can but dream.

Special mention to 46229, aka Duchess of Hamilton (google is your friend) who rarely fishes in such deep waters, but won a Frenzy satellite & ended up winning over £800, which may well be a lifetime best for him.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,656)

Reload is a £3.30 Rebuy BH, and it really takes some winning, but Dazzy has now won it twice this month alone. Add in a Mini Major win end of March & he's doing really rather well.

Fishing in by his standards shallow water, roddy28 was 3rd.

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,650)

Bleurgh, narrowly beaten into 2nd in Mega, gained consolation with a Turbo win, with Dog Bloke 2nd & TheMadMonk, who makes a habit of deep runs, in 3rd.

big_dam, who won Quicky a few nights ago was 5th.

    £1,500 Quickdraw (£1,920)

Granty72, who has no previous form that I can see, took this. He must have done well too, as Team Heavy Hitter were all in attendance, including lolufold (2nd) railtard (3rd) & heddoh (4th).

    Hi Tony,
The Euro Football being played across so many countries is madness. Governments should be getting involved, sadly I will be waiting a long time for political sense. The Olympics has no foreign spectators I believe, which is something, at least they can all properly isolate for a period once competition ends, whereas the football teams, supporters and staffs, will be criss crossing Europe.
First game of poker for ages last night. Thoroughly enjoyed myself, got my chips in good at the end , but it was not to be. Just need to remember the huge stroke of luck on the river earlier in the tournament, some you win some you lose.
Thanks for running the competitions and the write ups, loads of us read them, not always do we comment.

You are right tikay I usually around the smaller bounty hunters. I sometimes don’t play for while then I start up again. I did have some coaching from my other half who was annoyed that I won a frenzy. I did meet you years ago at spt Newcastle. You probably won’t remember me but you do know Tina.

    @46229

Tina, from Newcastle? Pretty sure I do know who you are. I used to love coming up to Newcastle for the poker. Aspers, Grosvenor, Genting (used to be Stanleys) such great memories.

Very well done last night, that was a great bink.
