Morning.

Well well well, Arsenal smacked in 4 goals away from home, & for once, looked like a really good side. Who'd have thought? So pleased for Arteta. Not sure what I'd do without live sport. The World Snooker starts tomorrow, over two weeks of snooker on TV every day. One of the sporting highlights of the year for me, & it's a sport that's well suited to TV & is covered pretty well.

Yesterday or today - depending how you look at it - was the 10th Anniversary of poker's Black Friday. It's one of those things where people remember where they were & what they were doing when the news broke. Can anyone one here remember the seismic shock of that night? Imagine logging on to your favourite online poker site & seeing the image below....

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,008)

macdaddy returned on Wednesday after a 3 month absence, then took last night's 7 @ 7. It's exactly a year since his only other mention, when he was 2nd in a Mega Stack Final.

In 4th was spangles. When I was a lad, "Spangles" were the sweet of choice, & they cost 3d (three old pence) which is just over 1p in new money. Bet they cost about 5p these days, maybe more.

    £6,000 Hitman Bounty Hunter (£7,620)

bawannab22 has hit a hot streak, 2nd in Wednesday's Turbo & now bags himself a Hitman Main. He already had Sheriff, Turbo & MidEx on his CV, but not sure he's ever bagged a Main until now.

We've not seen much of runner-up spitfire10 of late, he's very highly rated. And in today's random trivia, he was the Teeside Poker Player of the Year in 2018. True story, bro.

PKRPar made another Main Event Final, 6th this time.

I liked Spangles too, @Tikay10. According to Wiki they are no longer available:
"Spangles were discontinued in 1984, and briefly reintroduced in 1995, including in Woolworths outlets in the UK"

They were introduced in 1950 and originally advertised by Hoppalong Cassidy (before my time!). During post-war rationing, they only cost 1 token from the ration book when other types of sweets and chocolates were priced at 2.

The closest things to Spangles nowadays are Tunes which share the same shape.
