Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 161,321

Morning.

Despite some excellent football on TV I was quite surprised to see both the Main Event & Summit improved significantly w-o-w, though this is most likely a time of month thing. There were small misses for Mega Stack & MidEx, but only flesh wounds.

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,140)

    AdLad took this. He returned in February after a 2 year absence & has done very well - 2nd in a Main event, 1st & 2nd in Mega, & 4th in Easter UKOPS 13.

    neenio has won this twice in the last fortnight, & fell one spot shy of the hat-trick last night.

    Quite a tough renewal, with DivsDreams 3rd, luckme002 4th & roddy 5th.

    No surprise to see karlluke make the final (6th), she specialises in this one.

    @AdLAD 171000 1 £210.90 + £101.47 Head Prizes 4

    @neenio 0 2 £125.40 + £48.28 Head Prizes 4

    £6,000 Gold Rush (£6,930)

    oioi, Solly took the Main, he's part of the Sky Poker old guard & has been here since the very start. Despite his age, he is having a good 2021, including 3rd in a UKOPS High Roller for over £2,000, & 2nd in Summit. He won a BWBH late last year, too. Nice bloke - well, you know, tolerable - but a perfect pain to have on your table.

    Great result for 2Geronimo. He got in via a £1.80 All-In satellite, so a terrific ROI. He's been knocking on the door of late, with Final Tables in both Mini & £1k BH, but this was a big step up.

    In 4th was Enut, so the Estate Staff will get a slice of cake for tea tonight.

    DivsDreams, who was 3rd in the £1k BH, was 5th here, with fishhhhhhy wishhhhhy 6th.

    £2,000 Mini Gold Rush (£2,285)

    In winning the Mini, FITBHITF enjoyed his best result since he was 5th in the Sunday Major 6 months ago. Runner-up was burden09, with OXBOWLER 3rd.

    Arguably the most pleasing result of the evening was aynaricol finishing 6th, on top of which she won a Sunday Major seat in the 6pm Freeroll. That means - according to Sharky - she is now officially a profitable player. By trade, she is a mixologist, which she has done all over the world. Without the help of google, has anyone heard the term mixologist before? It was a new word on me, I must confess, though I don't frequent the sort of establishments which require such skills.

    Hon Mentions

    Mega overlaid last night, but Sky Poker would like to thank this man for his selfless decision to reduce the overlay. Putting the site before himself is a wonderful gesture, & Sky Poker need more folks like him.

    @The--Don

    Her game has improved by leaps & bounds recently, so our resident mixologist surely deserves mention after such a splendid session...

    @aynaricol

    POTD

    Has to be the old-timer who won the Main.

    Well said & well done @FITBHITF

    If it's not a personal question, is there any particular significance to your alias? Seems an unusual one.

    Thanks for the kind words @Tikay10 ☺️ Although not sure I’d class myself as a mixologist so much as a good old fashioned bartender 😉

    Also very well done to @FITBHITF - a thoroughly deserved victory!

    It's an acronym for 'Fire in the belly, head in the freezer'. It's a bit like a mantra of mine, i guess!

    'In 4th was Enut, so the Estate Staff will get a slice of cake for tea tonight.' They will indeed, just imagine if I had won it, they could have had a slice each!'

    I rarely get to play the mains or anything that starts later, as any run deep will result in grief from my lovely other half about playing for too long! She was otherwise engaged yesterday evening so I snuck this one in. I ran stunning well early on and was chip leader from 150 left to 20 left, even knocking out the legend that is @MattBates when my rag ace cracked his QQ! Then I went card dead, but managed to river a straight to stay in with something like A4 v 55 AIP to get to the FT. I was even unlucky not to finish at least 3rd when @steve14710 did the same to me and hit one of his 4 outs to river a straight and stay in. There were a lot of rivered escapes by a few of the players late on but being a turbo the stacks were so short that there wasn't a great deal of play taking place down the streets. Well done @SoLack who took the chip lead when 20 odd left and never looked like giving it up.

    p.s thanks for the mention yesterday too, I appreciate the fact that you mentioned I had also played a £15 PLO8 DYM without rubbing it in that I lost it. There's still plenty of value in the PLO8 DYMs with me playing them, one day you'll realise that and come back!
