Who won what, Monday 16th August - bearlyther at the double

Morning.

A fairly normal Monday for MTT traffic. The weekend had been adversely affected by GUKPT Manchester so it was pleasing to see traffic back to expected levels.

In sport it was a fascinating day. In the Test match, England absolutely threw it away. Going into Day 5 in a strong position, they were out thought, out played & out hustled. In particular, Root's ability as a Captain was in the headlights, & boy oh boy he failed big time. Great batsman, shocking Captain, & it's time to give someone else a try. It really was extraordinary how India dominated us. In Kohli, they have a Captain who knows every trick in the book & is not scared to use them, even though some are a little edgy. For me, he's the absolute GOAT.

Meanwhile, in the usually more genteel surroundings of snooker, there was a humdinger of a match between ex-partners Mark Allen & 12 times Ladies Champion Reanne Evans. Mark Allen won the match & moral high ground big time. Disappointed to see Reanne snub the offered fist bump before & after the match & then claim afterwards in her interview that it was due to COVID protocols. Utter BS. She's a mean machine & not a very nice person imo. However, she is terrific box office, with amazingly expressive body language, gurns for England, & cuts a powerful looking image in her snooker gear. Very good player too. I look forward to watching more of her, she's definitely a fun watch & will no doubt enliven this year's snooker scene.

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£994)

    After winning a MidEx over the weekend, bearlyther made a quick return to the winner's enclosure when taking 7 @ 7. It was the start of what was to prove a very successful evening, as we shall see.

    Squeezey8 won Sunday's Turbo in fine style & then ran 4th here.

    Shrimpy is currently rampant. Technically, this was his third Featured MTT win in two nights, (MidEx, Mega & £1k BH) but even on a worst-case scenario it's three wins in three nights. (It depends what day you count for MixEx). The big fella is currently on a diet and has lost 8lb in three weeks, not easy when he spends his working life cooking food. Really pleased for him.

    Quite a top three too, with anjie1970 second & cabbaz third.

    And here's another three day hat-trick, this time for bearlyther, who took a weekend MidEx & last night's 7 @ 7 before taking the Main too. Just over 55% of his games are DYM's where he's amongst the most profitable players on the site - 5.5% ROI BEFORE Rewards Money is extremely good. However, 90% of his profit comes from MTT's. Rare to see a player equally good at both disciplines. He must have been running super-hot last night, as on top of winning 7 @ 7 & the Main, he won THREE satellites to Sheriff, two of which were "All-Ins". That's serious run-good. Must be a proper pain to play against.

    Our man Shrimpy continued to prosper, 3rd here after winning the £1k BH. Only three head Prizes though, so gets a nomination for the @NOSTRI Trophy.

    Recent Sheriff winner BarrattG1 was fourth, including seven head prizes.

    @bearlyther 980000 1 £801.15 + £273.93 Head Prizes 6

    @darts180 0 2 £480.69 + £296.19 Head Prizes 16

    £1,500 Mini Marksman (£1,620)

    nagrom took the Mini. Has the unusual distinction of having won UKOPS events at the last two renewals - Xmas & Easter.

    Daily Forum Comp regular pstoney played 4 All-In satellites to the Main without any luck, paid into the Main anyway & finished down the field but got his money back & more thanks to a 3rd place finish here.

    @NOSTRI was 3rd in last week's MML & used his free Mini entry last night, finishing an impressive 128th. Anyone care to guess how many head prizes he took?

    @nagrom 648000 1 £210.60 + £86.17 Head Prizes 14

    @dudeham 0 2 £121.50 + £10.95 Head Prizes 2

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,360)

    cabbaz had a very fine session, 3rd in the £1k BH, winning Mega, 5th in Sheriff & then won a last night £300 BH by way of an encore.

    GELDY was runner-up with Makaka 6th.

    In third was The--Don, who won a Main & MidEx last week, & then cashed in 3 of the 5 MTT's he played last night. He's playing so well & running so hot he'll almost certainly announce very shortly that's going going to quit Sky Poker MTT's & go play the cash games on Unibet. When the word "contrary" was invented, it was The--Don they had in mind.

    @cabbaz 680000 1 £204 + £115.09 Head Prizes 5

    @GELDY 0 2 £136 + £40.26 Head Prizes 4

    @MUCKIE0303 0 4 £68 + £46.87 Head Prizes 4

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,000)

    What a CV Super_Oli has. Since early July alone, he's won Sheriff, Quickdraw (twice), Mega, 31k BH (twice) & MidEx, plus any number of final tables.

    4th was @PKRPar but no head prizes means he wins the @NOSTRI trophy for the night, which @Shrimpy looked nailed on for.

    @Super_Oli 200000 1 £400 + £242.07 Head Prizes 5

    @Mypot147 0 2 £250 + £145.32 Head Prizes 6

    @gaming123 0 3 £150 + £112.21 Head Prizes 4

    @PKRPar 0 4 £110 0

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,602)

    Dimm1981 plays exactly one MTT per night, every night - Reload - and he won it last night. Excellent.

    After a two week sabbatical, spearsy returned & this was one of three FT's he made in the session.

    Arguably the toughest FT of the night, with lolufold grabbing the top spot from a whole table of Team Serious as well as PKRPar.

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,200)

    huttykj has played less than 50 MTT's here, and registered their first result with a min-cash in Sunday's Mini Major before going on to win last night's MidEx.

    This was the 5th MTT & 3rd FT for The--Don last night, so that confirms he'll go definitely play something different now. That's just how he rolls.

    @huttykj 180000 1 £180 + £157.81 Head Prizes 9

    @mitie1 0 2 £120 + £51.10 Head Prizes 5

    Did you not notice at the start of play Buttler was doing the team talk,all very srange as for Root he's never been a good captain but yesterday was a farce new ball in hand Anderson with 600+wicketts taken of to bring on Wood with a dodgy shoulder wtf was that all about. As for the batting as soon as we couldn't win the game we don't have the ability or mindset to bat out for the draw.
