Who won what, Monday 30th August - PBKR wins almost £17,000

Good afternoon. Sorry this is late today, & it will have to be a little more brief than usual.

MTT traffic last night was mixed. The Marksman Main hit a 7 week high, but later in the evening numbers were disappointing, especially Sheriff, which fell some £500 shy of it's £1,500 guarantee. Still, numbers generally are going the right way.

A quiet day in sport, so here's a question for you. Below is an image of arguably Great Britain's best ever athlete. Who is she, & what is her Olympic record?

700 7 @ 7 £1,064

£1,000 BH £1,000

£5,000 Marksman Main £6,450

£1,500 Mini £1,645

£1,000 Mega £1,380

£1,500 Sheriff £1,500

£1,500 Reload £1,908

£1,500 Turbo £1,500

£1,000 Quickdraw £1,120

£1,000 Midex £1,180

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,064)

    daveybazz had a long day, playing, on & off, from early morning until around midnight, but it was worthwhile, clocking up a handy win in the 7 @ 7 & then finishing 2nd in a little late night Turbo BH.

    Jeni82 (3rd) was in splendid form, taking 16 head prizes & earning more in total than the runner-up.

    Rather surprisingly, skyflyer in 5th place took just one head. Funny old game, this poker.

    @daveybazz 304000 1 £144.97 + £49.69 Head Prizes 4

    @pokarito 0 2 £86.98 + £13.49 Head Prizes 4

    @Jeni82 0 3 £53.20 + £78.03 Head Prizes 16

    @Kahuna96 0 4 £41.76 + £20.42 Head Prizes 5

    @skyflyer 0 5 £35.64 + £2.63 Head Prizes 1

    @JusChick 0 6 £30 + £16.42 Head Prizes 4

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,000)

    This went to Rstinson97, who won both Gold Rush Main & Avenger Mini in 2020, but has been rather quiet so far this year.

    2nd was splashies, & he had an even better result later in the evening.

    MrTucker, who won this two nights earlier, completed the podiumaters.

    5th was anjie1970, with Arrogant in an uncharacteristic 6th.

    @splashies 0 2 £121 + £28.36 Head Prizes 3

    £5,000 Marksman Bounty Hunter (£6,450)

    Well done to rigas, this was their biggest ever win on Sky Poker, beating the £850 received for winning Mini Avenger in 2019.

    Two excellent & highly respected players with very similar styles of play filled the 3rd & 5th spots, MattBates & wothef.

    @rigas 1075000 1 £870.75 + £413.86 Head Prizes 12

    £1,500 Mini Marksman (£1,645)

    JoOlzZ plays a bunch of £1, £2 & £3 DYM's, so almost £290 for taking the Mini must seem like a fortune.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,380)

    Earlier in the evening splashies was 2nd in the £1,000 BH, now he takes Mega. He's an example to all poker players, rarely moans & groans, he just gets on with it. Makes a nice little side-income along the way too.

    @splashies 690000 1 £207 + £146.68 Head Prizes 6

    @bigfatfish 0 2 £138 + £22.50 Head Prizes 3

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£1,500)

    Although we saw a very low turnout for this - 19 Uniques + 1 re-entry, it was high class stuff with skyflyer claiming the top spot.

    Palace, who was 4th in Sunday's renewal, was 2nd this time. If Palace & @NChanning played a Heads Up game, I'm not sure either would win.

    @skyflyer 100000 1 £500 + £160.15 Head Prizes 3

    @cpfc_2010 0 2 £300 + £100.78 Head Prizes 4

    @Monty15 0 3 £200 + £60.94 Head Prizes 3

    @heellloooo 0 4 £84.38 Head Prizes 4

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,908)

    After Rstinson97 won the £1k BH I wrote that they were having a quiet year. That'll teach me, as this completed a lovely & very rare double on the night.

    Main Event winner rigas was 3rd, with Lord GREGSTER 4th, & the latter then going on to collect 1st place & £50 from a £200 Timed.

    @Rstinson97 1710000 1 £252.81 + £89.10 Head Prizes 10

    @laharv2k9 0 2 £150.73 + £21.41 Head Prizes 9

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,500)

    I've lost count of how many times Arrogant has won Turbo, and he added another last night, with wineli in 2nd.

    Slightly off-topic, but 3rd placed @Shrimpy28 is hard-dieting, & in today's weekly weigh-in, he has now lost 1st 1lb in just 5 weeks. Now that is superb dieting. To be fair, he was a bit of a lardy lump to begin with, but even so, that's impressive.

    MAGPIETYKE is having a belting week, 2nd & 3rd in Mains, 2nd in Sheriff, 3rd & now 4th in Turbo. Proper form, that.

    @Arrogant 205000 1 £354 + £169.24 Head Prizes 5

    @wineli 0 2 £221.25 + £116.01 Head Prizes 8

    @Shrimpy28 0 3 £132.75 + £68.20 Head Prizes 5

    @MAGPIETYKE 0 4 £97.35 + £36.56 Head Prizes 3

    @Jonnyadams 0 5 £79.65 + £42.18 Head Prizes 3

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,120)

    This was a huge result for johnsonb30, perhaps a PB.

    In 6th was Rstinson97. What a night they had, 1st in £1k BH, 1st in Reload, 6th in Turbo & 6th in Quicky.

    @johnsonb30 142000 1 £280 + £234.56 Head Prizes 8

    @loololollo 0 2 £168 + £37.50 Head Prizes 2

    @flushmenow 0 3 £112 + £81.22 Head Prizes 5

    @9marty 0 4 £67.50 Head Prizes 4

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,180)

    MattBates took MidEx, & unless I'm mistaken, it was his first featured MTT win in the last week.

    @MattBates 177000 1 £218.30 + £146.89 Head Prizes 9

    @pailife 0 2 £129.80 + £72.78 Head Prizes 7

    @DivsDreams 0 3 £88.50 + £36.08 Head Prizes 2

    @flushmenow 0 4 £64.90 + £9.38 Head Prizes 1

    The Away Team were busy last night.

    Ex high-roller @craigcu12 was 6th in the I-poker "Main Sweat".

    @destinycod was 8th in a chunky Grosvenor event for £756.

    And best of all, @PBKR finished 4th of a zillion runners in the Online Goliath, picking up a few shillings shy of £17,000. His exit was a bit of a cooler too, getting it in with Queens & finding himself up against the Kings. Fresh off his Charity Stream over the weekend, can't help but think Karma was on Phil's side. Absolutely superb result, & I can't imagine a soul begrudges him his bink. Judging from a photograph taken later in the evening, he then celebrated by taking what I assume was his Daughter out for a meal.

    Here's The Cure, with one of their most under-rated tracks, A Forest.

    Outstanding athlete. Worth mentioning that her first games were in 1992 in Barcelona and in a recent interview is already talking about 2024!!! We are not talkng about archery, shooting, dressage etc where age isn't as much of an issue, we are talking about an intensely physical sport that she has won medals on the track and the road (and of course, previously, in the pool).

    Yes, I was perusing it last night. Un-believ-able. And in two very different sports, too.
