Who won what, Tuesday 21st September - grinddd takes the Summit

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 158,750

Morning.

Both Summit & the Main were close to their recent run-rate. The Tuesday Mini operates in a very tight range, almost always £100 either side of £1,950 for the last few months, & so it proved again last night.

In sport, it was a Qualifying night for the Women's Football World Cup, so teams of female football players travelled the length & breadth of Europe. Results included 10-0, 8-0 (twice), 7-0 (twice), 7-1, & 6-0 twice. At a time when we are all being encouraged - rightly - to cut down on carbon emissions caused by unnecessary travel, does it really make sense for all those one-sided matches to take place in empty stadia right across Europe? The question, of course, is rhetorical. Ridiculous.

£700 7 @ 7 £840

£1,000 BH £1,000

£5,000 Gold Rush £5,610

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£840)

smokie248 splits his play roughly 50/50 between DYM's & MTT's and does OK when he plays tourneys. In the last year has won a Mini Sharpshooter, a MidEx & now 7 @ 7.

the remarkable run of LitlGenral - 1st, 3rd & 1st the previous 3 nights - came to a crashing end with a 59th place exit. but general63 in 3rd continued the theme of military rank.

maccol was 4th, & followed that with a deep run in Reload.

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,000)

Tedson has played less than 100 MTT's in the last two months, mainly because he's only really interested in the £100 buy-in stuff, so he was here last night for Summit. He had no luck at all in Summit but threw in a handful of other games & came up with a win in the £1k BH. Like fishing for carp & catching a rudd I suppose.

Runner-up heddoh has more good nights than bad but last night was not one of his best, he played a vey full schedule and a ton of satellites, 2nd here being his only result of significance.

The Main fell to Danny, aka ItsOver4U. Think we can reasonably assume he's been WCOOP-ing the last few weeks, and let's hope he had a few nice scores.

HUGHMANS blanked everything else last night but 3rd here would have ensured a handsome profit, especially as he swerved the Summit.

Well his football team can't win a game but ncfcmagpie, just 6 MTT's to his name last month, scored a lovely win in the Mini, with high-flyer roddy28 in 2nd place.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,280)

whitters95 is enjoying a nice little uptick. In the last month he's twice been 2nd in Summit, as well as 4th in the Major, a Predator Main win, & now he's added a Mega.

Must have been an aggro FT with bigfatfish, markycash-bang-wallop & roddy28 all featuring.

Good to see one of the best horse racing judges on the site do well too, with DUMNIDOSH in 4th.

    £5,000 Summit Bounty Hunter (£6,000)

48 hours after taking down Sunday's £6,000 BH & picking up ~£1,300, grinddd was back in the winner's enclosure after a Summit win & another £1,700+. He must be proper minted.

2nd was johnny_e, with Mega winner whitters in 3rd & jordz in 6th. Rather oddly, jordz never collected a single head prize. Must be losing his touch.

lolufold took Turbo, his only result of the session though probably sufficient to come away with a bit of profit.

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,420)

After a three month absence, Daveeboy returned in triumph & took Quickdraw.

Tough renewal this, with Jessieak, BooBoo, RogueCell, Monty15 & RCord all adjacent.

RogueCell has had a decent week, though not as good as when she got a slice of FTJ pie a few years ago - 2nd in the Main & 4th in the Mini. Pretty sure it was her birthday last week too.

collin11, almost always a single-tabler, took MidEx, with Monty14 & Divs Dreams on the lower podium steps.

    In other news...

The consolidation of the Sports Betting sector continues apace.

Yesterday, Draft Kings made an audacious £17 billion bid for Entain. Entain have a whole host of well-known brands including Coral, Ladbrokes, Party Poker, BWin, Foxy Bingo, BETDAQ, Gala Casino & Sporting bet. What Draft Kings really want though is Entain's hook-up in the USA with MGM. As more & more States in the USA open up legalized sports betting, expect to see more crackerjack deals like this.

Entain have yet to accept, but the price seems too good to refuse imo.

Excellent fishing analogy @Tikay10, although some carp anglers occasionally fish for other species and a rudd is a beautiful fish.

I do feel a little sorry for @heddoh18 though, relegated from runner up to 4th in less than a sentence!

Good spot @Enut, I've re-promoted him now with a swift piece of editing.

Back to fishing - have you been watching the fishing adventures of Mortimer & Whitehouse? In the latest episode they were after Bream or Rudd if I recall correctly. A very relaxing little show.

I do indeed @Tikay10, it is an excellent show and can be enjoyed by anglers and non anglers alike.

Sadly my life long fishing buddy passed away a couple of years ago but our fishing exploits were often very similar to Bob and Paul's, certainly the appreciation of our beautiful countryside and waterways along with the mickey taking and joking, although in our case the roles of bumbling idiot and expert angler were often interchanged.

    Good times, .............and away!

I'm having a good day, huh?

Still, looking on the bright side, it meant I got two replies, which is as many as I get in a week these days. Both replies from people of my age, curiously.

Harsh, I am 'only' 56. I am, however, extremely high mileage.
