Afternoon.

A little late today, so this will be a brief affair.

MTT numbers last night were broadly in line with the last 4 to 6 weeks. There was some decent football on TV last night, so I guess that's ok.

In sport, do we have any masochists here? I don't mean the sexual version, just people who enjoy bland, tedious stuff. If we do, they are in for a real treat tonight - the Ryder Cup Opening Ceremony. Both teams, accompanied by their wives, all of them in their silly little uniforms, even the wives & girlfriends dressed alike usually, and all the Vice-Captains - 5 (FIVE) of them in each team, all sat on stage like rows of dummies. Then there will be some dreadful music, a 17 minute rendition of God Bless America, 23 National Anthems, and endless speeches, all of them sycophantic - this is wonderful, that is wonderful, everything is wonderful. The Sky TV cameras will be everywhere, even the toilets probably, and the commentators will be oohing & aahing. For the rest of us though, some good news - the Ceremony only takes 13 hours.

Meanwhile, in football, & as flagged last week, Derby County have gone into Administration, & been given a points deduction, which means that after 8 games, they have MINUS 2 points.

    Nice work by Kahuna96, winning 7 @ 7 for the 2nd time since June. Won Mini Hitman last month too.

    Good to see Boxster in 5th place, he's had a challenging time the last 18 months or so but it looks like he is turning the corner.

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,000)

    kalin68 bounced back to form here. Has some solid results in the book, including several Main Event wins - Sharpshooter, Predator & Marksman.

    In 4th was StayOrGo somewhat surprisingly. He normally does his best work later in the evenings. Perhaps age is taking it's toll & he has to go to bed earlier these days, he's not a young man by any stretch.

    £5,000 Predator Bounty Hunter (£5,310)

    If you read the thread headline, you'll know that if roddy28 won the Main then he must be the Jackpot Bloke. No surprise really, in recent months he has won the Main twice (prior to last night), Summit, BWBH, Sheriff, Mini, even Reload. So last night was at least his third Main & 2nd Mini since around May of this year. And for good measure he was 2nd in last night's Sheriff too. If you add that lot up, & then add the £5,000 Jackpot bink, it comes to - well you work it out, but it's plenty. He's a decent sort & I'm delighted for him, he's a proper player & a proper bloke.

    @roddy28 885000 1 £730.12 + £304.23 Head Prizes 8

    @EBBERDON 0 2 £440.73 + £211.86 Head Prizes 9

    £1,500 Mini Predator (£1,510)

    You already know who won this, & I've said more than enough nice things about him already. With the Main already in the bag, he had a raucous & good-natured rail in full voice urging him on, & so poor Taximan1 in 2nd must have thought everyone was anti-railing him, but hopefully he eventually sussed the coup.

    7 @ 7 winner kahuna96 was 4th, MattBates 5th, & even old HAYSIE got in on the act in 6th. HAYSIE is the sort of bloke who would have got stubborn with bottom pair & cost roddy the Jackpot, but it was not to be, thank goodness.

    @roddy28 604000 1 £196.30 + £72.56 Head Prizes 9

    @Taximan1 0 2 £113.25 + £16.38 Head Prizes 5

    @Kahuna96 0 4 £55.12 + £35.22 Head Prizes 12

    Nobody else of interest made the FT.

    In other news...

    In these threads we tend to focus on the big winners, & quite right too, and on a night like last night everything gets overshadowed by a FTJ winner.

    But without the losers & the micro-stakes guys there would be no big winners, the poker pyramid is based on little guys doing their conkers most nights.

    On the rare occasion they do have a decent night, it's good to give them their moment in the limelight, so a quick shoutout to @NOSTRI who won not one but TWO little MTT's last night. Took 12 Heads too, which is about a month's worth on his run-rate. Bravo NOSTRI.

    I wanted to somehow pay tribute to our FTJ winner Roddy, & the best I could come up with was something by Sir Rod Stewart.

    Here's one of his best ever. I've sat in many a Rod Stewart gig at The Empire Pool Wembley singing along to this, waving my Rod Stewart scarf & all sorts. Love him to bits. The last 2 minutes are so good I well up just watching it.

    This is a great version of the song, which I've never seen before. Amy Belle has got an amazing voice on this track and this was back in 2004, various versions have been viewed over 500 million times. I've watched it a few times since you posted it.
